2015 Road Trip Day 3

Billings Montana

No, the Monday Pun is not gonna be about the bear in the bar in Billings.

I was in my hotel room last night reading and all of a sudden I heard some moaning. OMFG! The people in the room next door were getting it on! The woman was really enjoying herself, or, at least she sounded like it.

The drive today was windy as hell. All across South Dakota it was really blowing. I heard on the weather report on the radio that the gusts could get as high as 40 mph. It was that way almost the entire trip. I stopped in Rapid City for gas and the temp had dropped into the 50’s and here I was in cargo shorts and a polo shirt. What with the wind I was really chilly. Fortunately, I had put a coat in the car and was glad I did. Looks like I switch to jeans tomorrow. It’s supposed to get down in the 40’s tonight here in Billings. Glad I packed a flannel shirt. I remember back when I was a kid, we were out here in August and we camped in Denna Mora Campground in Montana and it was colder than hell. It looks like I’m gonna be driving right by it tomorrow. I just looked it up and it’s right off I-90.

2015 Road Trip Day2

Mitchell South Dakota

Beautiful Day today! Yesterday I got caught in some heavy rain through Tennessee. Was actually expecting more. Today it was great weather all the way.

I always get homesick driving through Missouri since I spent the first thirty eight years of my life (minus 4 years in the Navy) there. I like the rock music played in Missouri much better than what is played in Atlanta, especially KSHE in St. Louis and KCMQ in Columbia. It’s funny that I’ve driven I-70 across Missouri more now that I live in Georgia, than when I lived in Missouri. I do it at least once a year going to monoski camp at Snowmass. Back when I still lived in Missouri, I did most of my driving on I-44 (prior to that Highway 66) going to and from Lake of the Ozarks which is where I spent a lot of weekends during summers in the 70’s. I rented a cabin on the Lake and had a ski boat and I would go waterskiiing three weekends a month from May until September. Also, when we would go on canoe float trips we would drive I-44 to the places we would float like the Meramec River, Current River, or the Huzzah Creek among other streams. When I quit going to Lake of the Ozarks a friend of mine and I would go down to Lake Norfork in Southern Missouri and we’d drive I-44 there. He had a ski boat and Norfork was a better place to ski. Lake of the Ozarks has gotten really polluted over the years especially now with the growth it has experienced over the last 20 years. I hardly recognize it anymore.

I want to thank all of you who have warned me about the fires in the Northwest. I’m worried about them as well. I’m hoping they don’t affect the trip. My sister sent me a link to check on whether the Road to the Sun will be open or not. It would suck to drive out and have it closed. That would mean another trip out here.

When I wrote about going on a road trip, Ron in Ohio sent me this photo.

2015 Road Trip Day 1

Columbia Missouri.

That answers one question. Where am I going? I’m going Northwest. Where you may ask? First, I’m going to Grand Coulee Dam. I really should have been a civil engineer because I love bridges and dams. After that, I’m gonna go to Glacier National Park to drive on the Going to the Sun Road. I saw a special about the construction of the road about ten years ago and since then, I’ve wanted to drive on it. I only wish I could still walk so I could have driven my Z3. I can get one of my wheelchairs in it but it’s a pain having to take the chair apart and put it back together again, plus, I have to put the top down to get the chair in and out of the car. Also, that leaves me short of space for the two duffels and the backpack I travel with.

I was a little worried about the drive today. I’ve been having problems sleeping. I can now relate to my mother and my grandmother. It takes me forever to get to sleep at night. I was afraid that I wouldn’t get any sleep and would be tired all day. As it was, I did sleep last night but it was a very light sleep with some really weird dreams. I didn’t have any trouble getting up and got on the road at a decent hour so I didn’t get caught in any Atlanta traffic. It’s been a while since I have gone up I-75 and I see that they have started constructing the reversible toll lanes for I-75. One of the best things I did my last six years at IBM was moving from Acworth to Beautiful Dunwoody. The commute down I-75 was dreadful! I fear the toll lanes won’t help all that much and of course, since they’re toll lanes they have the panties of the liberals progressives rat bastard commies in a wad because it’s not fair that the poor will be stuck in traffic while the winners of life’s lottery can ride in the Lexus Lanes.

I’ve made the drive from Atlanta to St.Louis so many times I can almost drive it in my sleep. From 1985 until 1999 I would make the drive at least twice a year to visit my mother on Thanksgiving and in the Spring. I would drive it on other occasions as well. I especially like the drive from Chattanooga to Nashville. Alongside the Tennessee River in Chattanooga and then across it when it is Lake Nickajack. Then over Mont Eagle Pass. Down to Nashville and across the Cumberland River. Then, in Kentucky, I get to cross both rivers again right before they empty into the Ohio River. Across the Ohio River into Illinois. It’s really great that they built a new bridge across the Mississippi River for I-70 and I no longer have to go across the circus known as the Poplar Street Bridge.

Every time I was making good time today, I got caught in a jam. There was a big rig stalled in the middle of I-75 south of Chattanooga that had traffic backed up for three miles. There was a jam in Nashville that cost me a few minutes. There were two construction zones on I-64 that caused backups. I should have gotten here 30 minutes earlier than I did. I was thinking of driving to Independence today, but I changed my mind last night and decided to only drive to Columbia and made my reservation for here last night. Glad I did.

Anything interesting happen today?

I really like the one about how Black Lives Matter except in Chicago. From HeyJackass from yesterday.

2015_shot_clock-320x249

These numbers are trending down. I really want to see them crack 3 hours and 18 hours. Keep in mind that this is in the Dimocrat utopia of Chicago which has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. Almost all of these shootings and murders involve black people, so you can see what a sham this Black Lives Matter movement is. Black lives only matter when it is a white or a “white Hispanic” who kills the black person. Blacks killing other blacks? Nothing to see here. Move on. I’ll start thinking black lives matter when black people start acting like black lives matter. Until then they can STFU and go away. One other thing. White lives matter and they matter far more than black lives do since white people built this country and created the wealth. It’s white people who pay the taxes to support the permanent parasitic underclass. And if this makes me a racist, they can kiss my crippled white racist ass.

Good Question

Never because the gays and the gummint are afraid of Mooslimes. And the Saudis have bought too many politicians including the Bush family. Gays and gummint aren’t afraid of Christians.

And further questions. Where is the gay outrage over gays being hung in Iran? Where is the gay outrage about gays being beheaded in Saudi Arabia? And where is the feminist outrage over how women are treated in Islam? Maybe it’s because the gays, feminazis, and Mooslimes all share the same goal of destroying the country.

White Privilege

The demonization of white people continues apace. Yea verily, everything that is wrong with the world today is caused by white people. Bullshit! Without white people the planet would be a mess.

Let’s start with the Greeks. They gave us advanced mathematics, philosophy, drama, and classical architecture. They gave us democracy. They refined the alphabet that started with Egypt, moved to the Middle East, and then to Greece. With the conquest of Alexander the Great, the Middle East was Hellenized with Greek culture. The Greek colonists throughout the Mediterranean passed on aspects of their culture to Italy and thence to Rome. We owe a great debt to Greek culture. White people.

Then came the Romans. The Romans were fantastic civil engineers. Look at their roads, some still in use today. They took classic Greek architecture and added the arch and the dome. All the great domes in the world are based on the dome of the Pantheon. Rome had running water. Their aqueducts brought water in from all over to Rome. They did this to all of the large cities they conquered or built. I visited Spain a few years ago and their was a giant aqueduct in one of the cities that was used to bring fresh water into the city until about 50 years ago. They established baths in all of their cities. Even the poor could go to the baths. After the fall of Rome, plumbing did not reach the level of Rome in Europe until the 19th Century. Rome gave us laws. They gave us an example of a republican form of gummint. The Romance languages of Europe all descended from Latin. Not only was Latin the language of the Roman Catholic Church, it was the language of knowledge up to and past the Renaissance. White people.

What else have white people given us. Howsa ’bout curing many diseases, such as smallpox and polio? Yellow fever. Malaria. Cholera. Plague. All of the advances in modern medicine, like heart transplants came from white people. Antibiotics? White people.

Newton gave us Calculus which is the basics of physics. White? Yep. Nuclear power? White people.

Who invented the telephone and the telegraph? White people. Who invented the vacuum tube and the transistor? White people. Who invented the digital computer? White people. The cellphone? White people. The internet? White people. Most of modern technology came from white people.

The steam engine? White people. Railroads? White people. The internal combustion engine? White people. Cars? White people. Airplanes? White people. Who walked on the moon? White people.

Who abolished slavery? White people. Slavery has been with us throughout all of our recorded history. It was considered natural and normal. Every civilization had slaves. Egyptians, Babylonians, Persians, Hebrews, Hittites, Greeks, Romans, Turks, Arabs, Germans, Africans, Indians in North, Central, and South America all had slaves. The Bible said slavery was just fine. Blacks do not hold the franchise of slavery. Prolly everyone on this planet has an ancestor who was a slave. But sumpin’ changed in the late 18th and early 19th Century. Some white people in England thought slavery wasn’t such a good idea. The first thing that happened was English ships quit transporting slaves. Eventually, the anti-slavery movement made its way to the white people in North America. Eventually a bloody war was fought in the United States between white people to free the slaves and that is what happened. Slavery has been abolished in the United States for over 150 years. No black person born in the United States for the last 150 years has ever been a slave. Thank white people for that. White people gave blacks equal rights 50 years ago. Alas, far too many black people have not taken advantage of those opportunities instead wallowing in self pity, denigrating those trying to get an education and learning how to speak and write proper English as “acting white”, and calling many achievers “Uncle Toms” or “Oreos”. That’s a matter for another post. Ironically, slavery still exists in Africa.

I maintain that no race of people have done more for the advancement of knowledge and the betterment of the human race than white people and currently, the United States leads the way. When there is a national disaster which country is the first on site with aid? The United States. And not only does our gummint give money and aid, our citizens through private charity do as well. Our hated military springs into action. Usually we send the Navy with a carrier group and a hospital ship. We airlift tons of supplies. No one does as much for the world as the United States. No one!

I am proud of the accomplishments of white people. The progressives liberals rat bastard commies don’t want the history of Western Civilization taught because if it is, people will see just how much the world owes to the civilization created by white people. No civilization has ever reached the heights of Western Civilization. No country has ever been as rich or as powerful as the United States. And, no other country has tried to do more for black people than the United States. We walked on the moon and then returned to earth and declared a war on poverty that we have lost. All we have done is create a permanent parasitic underclass of people mired in perpetual poverty dependent upon the gummint for all aspects of their life. Even so, our poor, black and white, still live better than the majority of the people on this planet, thanks to the wealth and freedom created by white people.

White privilege? Yannow, with all that white people have done for the world they deserve some thanks and they deserve privilege, but I maintain that anyone in this country has privilege. It ain’t hard. Stay in school. Get an education. Learn how to read, write, and speak English. Develop a work ethic. Wait until you get married to have children and don’t have children you can’t afford. How hard is that? If you are black stop listening to Al Tawana Brawley Crown Heights Riots Freddie’s Fashion Mart Arson “Greek Homos” Sharpton, Jesse Hymietown Jackson, Eric “My People” Holder, Obungler and the rest of the RWPPs. Stay in school, pull up your pants, and try. I know black people who succeeded by doing that. I worked with them at IBM. It’s possible.

Quit blaming white people for your failures. White people have made the world a much better place and they have created a country where you can succeed. Unfortunately, one of your own is trying to destroy that and is succeeding in his efforts.

And finally, cram your white privilege bullshit up your ass! You’re never gonna stick me with any white guilt. I’m proud of what white people have done for the world and any white person who feels guilty about being white is a fucking idiot! Name one other race that has done as much for the world as whites have. Blacks certainly haven’t and if you think I’m a racist, you can kiss my white racist crippled ass!

Paul Krugman Is A Tool

Every Monday the Atlanta Urinal and Constipation prints a column by Paul Krugman and since It’s by Krugman it is always full of lies and half truths. The one today was no exception. When you think of Pual Krugman just think of one thing. He was an economist for Enron. That should tell you all you need to know. I’m not bothering to link to the colum because it would be a waste of time reading it.

In today’s column, extolling the greatness of Obungler, Krugnam writes that unemployment at this time is lower than it was at the same time during Reagan’s presidency. Of course, this is bullshit. And why is it bullshit? Because the unemployment number is bullshit. It doesn’t couunt the people who have given up looking for work. It doesn’t count the number of people working part time jobs who want to work full time. The real unemployment number is closer to 12% and it is far worse than it was under Reagan at the same time during his administration. And the unemployment numbers are a disaster for blacks. Blacks did far better under Reagan, Clinton, and both Bushes than they have under the Obamessiah. He has been a catastrophe for blacks. Also, the job participation rate is the lowest it has been in the last 70 years. Sorry Paul. You are full of shit and you are lying through your teeth.

Another thing he writes about is that Obummercare has not been the job killer that everyone said it would be. I read an article the other day making the same claim. The claim is that it has not affected jobs since its full implementation. That’s because all the job cuts and hours cut to under 30 hours all took place before its full implementation. Why wait until the last minute when employers could be ahead of the curve and that’s when all the jobs were cut. That’s when full time jobs turned into part time jobs. It happened before the full implementation. Once again, Krugman used a half truth. Obummercare has been a jobs killer. It has also been a drag on the economy and it will get worse.

We are experiencing the most anemic recovery from a recession in over 70 years. By this time, the economy should be going full blast but it isn’t. Every summer, the LSM propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party, of which Krugman is a member, would write about a recovery summer which would never happen or green shoots of a recovery which weren’t there. They tried to make unemployment sound like a good thing so people could go on a vacation, but it would have to be a “staycation” where they would have to stay home because they didn’t have any money. Rejoice! You lost you job!

When reading Krugman, I often wonder, does he really believe this crap he’s writing? Prolly not. He’s just another hack propagandist for the Dimocrat Party.
