A top Army commander on Monday ordered that Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl face a court-martial on charges of desertion and endangering troops stemming from his decision to leave his outpost in 2009, a move that prompted a huge manhunt in the wilds of eastern Afghanistan and landed him in nearly five years of harsh Taliban captivity.
They oughta try him for treason as well since I’m sure he gave the enemy information which would be considered aiding and abetting the enemy.
The decision by Gen. Robert B. Abrams, head of Army Forces Command at Fort Bragg, N.C., means that Sergeant Bergdahl, 29, faces a possible life sentence. That is a far more serious penalty than had been recommended by the Army’s investigating officer, who testified at the sergeant’s preliminary hearing in September that prison would be “inappropriate.”
This is a brave stance by General Abrams and will prolly mean the end of his career since this is the last thing the Obungler administration wanted to happen especially after trading five Gitmo prisoners for this deserter. Bergdahl deserves to spend the est of his life behind bars but I’ll be willing to bet that Obumbler pardons him before he leaves office. After all, they are fellow traitors.
OBungler needs to share a cell with that SOB for treason.
Indeed great news and, I applaud Gen. Abrams decision, however, at least six brave men died when searching for that deserting fucker. As the taliban calls Bowe the ‘Golden Chicken,’ he should be put to death.

I would pay big bucks to watch Fonda get it. She should have been arrested for treason the minute she entered the US upon return from North Viet Nam. What she did was disgraceful and was obviousloy treason.

As for Bergdahl, first thing should be to strip him of all the “automatic” promotions, then if/when he’s convicted, let him wait out any appeal process as the prison bitch of Thor, Bubba and Tiny.
Not to worry! If/when convicted, (presumption of innocence) any sentence of confinement will include the following:
Forfeiture of all pay and allowances
Reduction to the lowest enlisted grade
Dishonorable discharge.
