Last week I posted some stuff by Spirit. Two members of Spirit, Jay Ferguson and Mark Andes left Spirit and along with Andes’ brother and a drummer formed Jo Jo Gunne. Here’s their only hit. I saw them live once at a 4th of July concert at Lake of the Ozarks in the early 70’s along with the James Gang (after Joe Walsh had left), Black Oak Arkansas, and one other band that I don’t remember. We’re talking over 40 years ago and there were some drugs (pot) and some adult beverages involved. I waterskied all morning and we went to the concert when it started around 2:00 PM.
Jay Ferguson, Keyboard player and vocalist for Jo Jo Gunne is now a composer for various TV series. He does the music for NCIS: Los Angeles.
Denny- There was also Jay Ferguson’s most famous song- The top 10 hit “Thunder Island” from 1978…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEKZJp-x-Dc
BTW, I moved from Breckenridge to Scottsdale, Arizona in September.
Was it for work or did you just want a change?
Denny- Just for change, and in a way the Hispanic invasion, which has changed Summit county forever, and NOT in a good way. There’s hispanics everywhere, bankrupting social services, causing havoc in schools with kids who can’t speak English so ESL classes and teachers have to be added. But of course, the majority libtards who live there love and celebrate the “diversity”. Along with that “diversity” gang problems are starting to become an issue. Shocking, huh?
for those of you who like rehearsals, outtakes and that sort of thing, here’s JJG rehearsing Run Run Run https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqYYhbDbnsI
You beat me to it Pete. I always liked those rehearsal videos because
they were so laid-back and informal.
Loved that song. Thank-you for the information about the history of the band. Love it!!
