Ron’s Update On The Election

Here’s some cogent analysis by Ron.

This is all quite remarkable once you get it all out in the open. Here we are with a two-party system heading into an election to select a new leader in a peaceful and dignified transfer of power not involving dynasties or birthrights of any kind.

Unless you count the Clintons or Bushes.

And what do we have? Well, on the progressive side we have an avowed socialist running against a multiple repeat unindicted felon while on the conservative side one of the oldest and most right-wing publications wants to scuttle the front runner and the guy coming in second in all the polls because they’re not playing by house rules.

Geeez, guys . . . can’t we do better than that? I mean, really? WTF is WRONG with you people! We have skewed polls, biased reporting, in-the-tank interviewers, and complete morons on both sides trying to tell us what we should be thinking. And the bottom line is that we’ll never get the whole truth about ANY of the candidates. Period. Especially not from the candidates themselves.

Trump has masterfully stolen all the spotlights and refocused them on himself since Day 1. Bush has spent more money than all the other GOPers combined and all he’s getting is a huge collective yawn.

And he is supposed to be the smart brother.

Rubio is like a cute little puppy running around peeing on everyone else’s shoes, Christie is still trying to untangle the tin cans of history from his fat ass, and Cruz is going out of his way to open fire on his own foot.

The obligatory token, Carson, has nearly succeeded in putting nearly everyone who listens to him to sleep, and Fiorina manages to say all the right things when nobody’s listening. It all looks like something from a Barnum & Bailey Keystone Kops big-top act written by Larry, staged by Curly, and choreographed by Moe.

Moderately educated English-speaking people in Canada, England, Australia, India, and parts of western Europe must be watching this goat rope and asking themselves which nuke superpower is more dangerous – one ruled by a Putin or one led by a bozo. Gotta be terribly amusing to them, except for the potentially catastrophic danger of either a Clinton or a communist in the Oval Office.

They must be wondering how the hell we could fire and disgrace a 4-star general for exposing classified material to his biographer (who actually had a clearance) but not even charge a demonstrably guilty liar and hypocrite who mishandled thousands of classified documents and very likely exposed them to our enemies, much less consider giving her the reins to the most powerful nation on the friggin planet.

I’m sure it’s occurred to them that one reason for the missing indictment on the Bitch of Benghazi is that no one in the entire Soetoro administration, including Dinglebarry himself, is far enough above corruption to have the courage to BRING charges against her.

And while Soetoro strongly dislikes the Clintons and would really prefer Plugs as his successor, he’s willing to take sloppy seconds in the form of Cankles to protect and preserve his legacy, knowing that a Cruz or a Rubio or even a Trump would shred his signature legislation along with the asswipe his EOs are written on.

Sound alarms from shore to shore
Before the votes are numbered.
Or with a power-hungry whore
We’ll find ourselves encumbered.

So wrong. If that had been the case, it would look much better.

  2. Damn good read. I sure hope that the real loyal Americans come out of their malaise in Nov. to vote against the status quo major party fraud candidates and vote for Trump.

          • IMO, the two major parties are nothing more than two criminal gangs. One takes a turn at stealing our money and enslaving we the people with more and more laws.
Then, in 4 or 8 eight years, the other gang does the same.

            TRUMP in November!!
            We have nothing to lose.

          • Damn straight we have nothing to lose. Both parties are completely worthless at this point and it would be nice if they were to just disappear, wishful thinking on my part.

  3. I would bet that the real reason more folks haven’t hammered Hitlery is because she still has access to all of the “missing FBI files” from when her husband, Slick Willie, was tainting the White House. No doubt all of the dirt the Klintons have on other folks is giving those other folks pause.

    Rusty

  4. Whomever we elect will be flawed.

    Welcome to the human race.

Even if he were a stellar person, the media would make up stuff about him to try to make him unelectable.

    • Toejam, you sure as hell got that right. Also, it’s interesting to note the the fat slobs of #BlackLivesMatter are now siding with the cops in Oregon. They must now be for equal oppression, right?

      Fuck ’em all.

      Trump 2016!

  5. May be the last chance to finally restore some semblance of the Constitution.

    Cruz 2016.

Trump is a petulant whining liberal. Dump Trump.

  6. I have sharply mixed feelings about Trump. His ideological track record seems more like a Democrat than a Republican; in this respect I strongly favor Cruz. But I do resonate to the shock treatment Trump brings to the table.

Whatever may come, I think it’s a great thing that Trump jumped into the race, giving the heartland a sense that someone in the political process will speak for them, instead of the usual special interests and cronies and political correctness.

So would a Trump presidency be a good thing? I honestly don’t know. But if he’s the candidate, I’ll support him and hope for the best. Trump’s a better bet than the crook or the kook on the other team.

    • His ideological record is damned-near far-left. His conversion seems to be awfully convenient for someone who just a short time ago was for socialized medicine, and still loves the Kelo decision and big government like ethanol subsidies. Worries me that Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, Dole, the Republican consultancy class, etc., say don’t worry, we can do deals with Don (but, not Cruz). It’ll be hilarious when President Trump decides he’s had enough of all that campaign trail pablum he was tossing out, and does what he wants, because we know nobody tells Donald what to do. And I’ll watch the Trumpeteers choking on dicks when Trump nominates someone like Lawrence Tribe as a Supreme Court justice.

        • Yeah, ad hominems are the way to go when you have to face that you have no argument. I noticed you didn’t refute anything…because I was 100% right on everything I said.

      • I don’t think Trump actually *has* a political ideology. Judging by his track record, he espouses whatever beliefs are the most convenient and advantageous for him.
In this election, he’s pandering to the heretofore unrepresented right wing. Looking at his actions (and not his words; those are cheap), there’s no reason to believe he’s going to be any better in office than Obama. After all, Obama sounded pretty good if you didn’t scratch the surface, too.

  7. Excellent read. Several problems at play. 1) USA contains a large number of Socialists so they vote their heart. 2). Shitloads of people who are clueless. 3) Shitloads of people who are dependent on the government meeting their basic needs.

    • You hit the nail on the head, Lenny. Start talkin’ about takin’ away SocSec and see how many big C “Concervatives” start whinin’, just like the soft, weak Socialist pussies for whom they’ve shown such contempt.
