Ron’s Tired

Another rant from Ron.

Donno ‘bout ‘chall, but this ol’ country boy is tired of the traveling medicine show. It’s been goin on now for over a year, and it’s gonna go on for aNOTHer year. Man, it’s like waitin for a suppurating pustule in your intergluteal crease to heal. Only difference is that the end result in this case might be an open wound that NEVER heals and eventually puts the entire organism in a septic shock from which it can’t recover.

For several years I thought it prob’ly couldn’t get any worse than Soetoro with his dismantling of Constitutional framework and substitution by suspicious EOs and knee-jerk, race-baiting overgeneralizations about anything his puppetmaster Soros and court jester Jarrett tell him is anti-black, anti-muslim, or anti-obamacare when he gets back from the golf course or his latest fundraiser.

Man, I’m tired of the bomb-throwing, torch-carrying candidates who would burn down the barn to get rid of the rats, no matter how badly infested it might be.

I’m tired of the mealy-mouthed, promise-dropping blowhards who offer endless lists of lip service but whose records indicate no capacity for providing.

I’m tired of aging-hippy, unicorn-riding Marxist pied pipers who offer free EVERYthing to EVERYbody but have no plan for paying for it all.

And I’m especially tired of potty-mouthed, power-hungry, pants-suit-wearing hypocrites whose tongues are permanently inoculated against uttering any word resembling truth.

Long time ago I voted for George Wallace as a flat rejection of the candidates offered by the GOP and DNC (Nixon and Humphrey). Though I knew instinctively that he would be a disaster in the Oval Office and had no chance of winning the election anyway (although he did get a surprisingly large percentage of votes nationally), he made two statements which resonated with me and still ring true today:

“There ain’t a dime’s worth of difference between today’s Republicans and Democrats.” He was referring to the fact that they both waste and overspend massive amounts of revenue, just on different things.

“If a thug hits you over the head with a lead pipe in a dark alley, he’ll be out of jail before you’re out of the hospital.” Here he was referring to the general confusion and liberal-minded application of laws in America.

I don’t see any improvement in today’s world concerning either of those statements. It’s a mess and it gets worse with each election since 1984. Hell, look what we have today:

Scratch the surface of a Sanders, and you find a Lenin.

Scratch the surface of a Cruz, and you find a Machiavelli.

Scratch the surface of a Trump, and you find a P.T. Barnum.

Scratch the surface of a Cankles, and you find a Bonnie Parker.

Scratch the surface of a Bush, and you find an Alfred E. Neuman.

Scratch the surface of a Huckabee, and you find a good guy with an unelectable name.

Scratch the surface of a Rubio, and you find a wind-up doll that rolls around the place bumping into furniture.

Wholly Shi’ite! We’re probably gonna wind up with having to choose between the Minister of Mayhem and the Bitch of Benghazi. Having Trump in the Oval Office would be like having the WWE Smackdown announcers running The Yale Club. Putting Cankles behind the Resolute Desk would be like replacing Guildenstern with Rosencrantz.

Now . . . I’m not exactly a single-issue zealot, and I realize that nobody’s perfect. But I can’t see a single candidate in the race today who hasn’t done some flip-flopping or some side-stepping or some slip-sliding along the way. Not one. Even the obligatory Benson look-alike. There is none, NONE, that I could vote for without holding my nose for one reason or another.

Got up today and while walking around in the cool, clear, pre-dawn air with Monsterdawg thought to myself, “Hey, FINALLY, after today we won’t have to hear about Iowa any more.”

But instantly I realized that that’s just silly, ‘cause the media are gonna grind the numbers out for at least a week once they’re in, and “experts” will argue endlessly over what REALLY happened, and why. Then it all starts again and they take it on the road to NH, where we’ll be bombarded with punditry and bloviatry and assininity for another couple of weeks until it gets underway to invade the South.

One thing has become clear to me in all this, tho – I finally understand why guys want to climb mountains and just sit there watching the world go by in silence.

  1. This election has been going on since the day after 0bammy was reelected by the mud people in America. We’re sick of it and there is a lot more nauseous and endless “news” about it yet to come.
My wise late Father told me that the presidency should be ONE six year term and the corruption would be far less. I still agree with him to this day.
Fortunately, the presidential term was reduced after FDR to two four year shots or the mud people would keep Prezzy Soetero in power for many, many years to come.

    • No, this election has been going on since the closing days of the Reagan amnesty administration. I’ve always enjoyed Ron, however, this rant is a bust.

  2. We have voted for and looked the other way to lies and corruption for years. Now they do it blatantly telling the voters to shut up and get in line thru fear and intimidation. Today’s politicians actually do what Nixon was accused of thinking about. The media pushes distortions and lies for ratings and revenues. America is lost and soon will look like the Weimar Republic which led to Hitler after the killing and riots start.

  3. Yeah. This whole primary business can get to be a drag.

    I KNOW! LET’S FIX IT!

We’ll have a single-payer system where each candidate gets the same amount of money and no other fund raising is allowed.

To stop too many people from entering, candidates will be selected by government appointed committees.

If that doesn’t work the government will just have to exert more control.

    • You realize that any government appointed committee is going to be heavily leftist and geared toward appointing candidates that will only grow government.

  4. Wish I had a way with words like you do, Ron. I’m findin’ it hard to see anything in this one that I disagree with.

  5. Form your own opinion……….but mine is made up and its firm.

    a) I will NEVER vote for another incumbent. (only form of term limit WE can induce). I will never vote for anyone IN or previously IN the US fed gov.

    b) today I declared to Chuck Grassly my departure from the Republican Party for their ineptitude commensurate with the US Federal Gov.

Iowans said they were ‘anti establishment’. their ballots said something else Monday night in IA…….buy putting two slippery senators in the mix. And expect change?

You know its corrupt and juicy……when campaign banks have $400 MILLION DOLLARS IN THEM for a Gov official paying $400K/year. “donations” ? Screw PACS. BAR PACS. Prohibit US congressmen running for office while in office. If the target is so juicy, resign and pursue another position………but NOT while WE are paying YOU $175K year to blow smoke at US ! ! !

We really DO need to take OUR country back. And that means an OUTsider.

REBELL, my intelligent friends. REBELL now. We have earned and deserve BETTER

  6. Given those options/definitions, I think I’m going with P. T. Barnum. At the very least we’d be well entertained for a few years… And who knows, after all a one-time “B” actor didn’t do too bad.
