There is no question that Requirements of what constitutes a natural born U.S. citizen have been vague & are subject to review by Congress but & it is a BIG BUT……..
At the time of Cruz`s birth in Canada in 1952 the Rules established & in place to define a child as a Natural born U.S. citizen were as follows & the child in question had to meet every requirement to be so certified.
1.The child`s parents had to be married at the time of his birth … they were!
2.One of the child`s parents had to be a U.S. citizen at the time of the child`s birth…Ted`s mother was a U. S, citizen , the fact his father was a native born Cuban is irrelevant even though he later obtained U.S. citizenship …Ted meets this requirement!
3.The citizen parent must have valid proof being a U. S. for at least 10 years prior to the child`s birth…..again the requirement was met !
4. It is further stipulated the citizen parent mus at a minimum prove they were a resident in the U.S for at least 5 years after the citizen parents 14th birthday .
Again this requirement was met!
These were the rules to establish natural born U.S. citizenship at the time of Ted Cruz`s birth . No question he so qualified at that time & in the opinion of most Constitutional scholars say he still does..
The fact some Harvard based Law Scholars want to challenge this is not a surprise, all Lawyers & most Jurists think they have an ability to divine hidden meanings or imaginary contrary opinion which invalidate established law. These people are trained to find fault from day one in Law School with laws already in place in order to represent a case before a court to allow for a client to be proven innocent.
I see no way the existing rules could be changed or modified to invalidate people already so certified. I would think any Constitutional change would be for going forward & apply only to those born after new requirement or definition was established.
Politic`s is a dirty business for sure & given the people we have now seated you can be sure they will twist or change anything if allowed to advance the1r agendas.

Concerning Dual citizenship , a quick review by myself has not found a reference to the 1977 date you reference but I did find the following …….
1. Canada first officially recognized acceptance of dual citizenship with other British Commonwealth citizens in 1947 & has continued with acceptance of others at various times down thru the years.
2. The United States Supreme Court ruled in Kawakita versus the United States in 1952 the existance of dual citizenship was long standing & ruled his prosecution as a US citizen for war crimes /treason was upheld though he was a citizen of Japan during WW2.
3. The United States does recognize dual citizenship as a matter of occurance if a person is born outside of the United States with at least one parent who is a United State citizen which meets the residency requirements stipulated.
I guess since you do not like Ted Cruz & I favor Donald Trump there is no real issue dividing us.
I will say this….If somehow Cruz manages to win the nomination over Trump, I will support him in the General election over Hillary or Sanders if he pulls a rabbit out of his hat.

Good points about the Birth Certificate …Sheriff Joe Arpio did a number investigating that document with a sophisticated team of professionals who proved it was faked , & the number of steps it took to create that forgery . His report even showed the specific details of what where obvious forgeries of the information was introduced .
Just as the non existance of the Hospital named on the birth certificate when Bunghole was birthed is a classic proof of a lie,so is the Social Security number he claimed could never have been issued to him in Hawaii as it would have been issued in the New England area.

Cruz was born in Canada and has a Canadian birth certificate. This is enough to disqualify his being President or VP. Obama was born in Kenya, he and others said this when he was running for his ill gotten seat in IL. He was not qualified but the Democrats decided to falsify records and the dumb masses elected him. Now Cruz and the Birther babies, Jindall, Rubo and others want to do what the Democrats did. The Republicans are stupid because the Democrats will prove Cruz is not qualified if he is elected and the Democrat will become President. I hope the PIAP ends up in prison so Bernie wins. Actually, if Cruz wins and is determined to not be qualified, the only way to disqualify him is by impeachment. That’s why the Obungler birth certificate kerfuffle was a waste of time because even if he wasn’t a citizen, the only way to remove him from office would be impeachment and there would be no way the Republicans could get 67 votes to convict.
Actually, any candidate in ’08, either Republican or, Democrat, could’ve sued Obama the moment he accepted the Democratic nomination to run in the GE for president as they were the only one’s with standing. There are many people who at some point in their life had dual citizenship but in Cruz`s case he was An american at birth because his mother was an American citizen who had spent more then 10 years living in the USA & at least 5 of those years were after her 14th birthday. The fact his father was a native born Cuban who eventually became a US citizen is irrelevant.
The question as to Cruz`s eligibility to run for President is firmly established by Constitutional law.
Unlike Obama who never really provided a legitimate birth certificate or had independent confirmation from other sources, there is no question Ted Cruz meets the minimum requirements for eligibility.
