O.K. Now I’ve been in storms out in the middle of the ocean, I’ve lived in 6 different states, visited about a dozen countries, witnessed a live birth, got a MA degree, raised a buncha kids, been shot at, and spent time in at least one of two honky-tonks from time to time. But some things I just don’t unnerstan’.
Every time I hear a politician, especially a liberal, talk about the rich paying their “fair share” or extracting more revenue from big banks or big business to reduce the burden on ordinary taxpayers, I just want to pull their tongues from their mouths and slap them silly with ‘em.
First of all, half the people in the country don’t even pay taxes, and of those who DO pay, the top 10% pay more than 70% of the money collected on personal income taxes. If the tax rate on the rich is raised much higher, the result will be capital flight. That’s exactly what France is experiencing now.
Secondly, the mantra of relieving individual taxpayers by raising rates on banks and businesses is simply code for increasing revenue, which is nothing more than raising taxes. Wage earners, consumers, and taxpayers are the source of ALL monies collected from businesses. Period. Any time taxes are raised on a bank or a business, rates or prices are raised to ensure profitability. And if the product prices or the bank rates are too high for ordinary customers, those banks and business go OUT of business.
A long time ago a very rich man told me that it’s virtually impossible for the average guy to amass too much money because sooner or later no matter how much he makes, the government will find a way to take half of it away from him and give it to the deadbeats and entitlement crowds.
Any politician who wants to enforce a “fair share” on businesses and the very rich is either lying or ignorant. In either case, that politician is NOT the one we want making decisions and laws that affect capital investment, entrepreneurs, banks, and income tax rates.
And another thing: this business about transgenders being allowed to use any restroom facilities they choose is simply rank stupidity and political correctness gone completely ‘round the bend. If you do just a little simple research, you’ll find that a total of less than 5% (probably closer to 3.5%) of the US population is gay or lesbian or bisexual or transgender. And if the bisexual component is removed, the overall percentage drops down to around 2%, that’s TWO PERCENT!
O.K. Now, how the hell would we ever know someone is gay or lesbian or bisexual or transgender unless they announce their status to us? If a bisexual identifies and lives as a female, the only people who might know she’s using the wrong restroom would be her lovers, unless she’s some kind of moron.
The point is, of course, that if transgendered men (female born into a male anatomy) want to use the women’s restroom, they’ll have to use a stall anyway, since damned few women’s restrooms have urinals. And if a transgender woman (male born into a female body) wants to use the men’s restroom, she’ll also have to use a stall, right?
So what the hell is the problem? We seemed to get along just fine for hundreds of years with the occasional tranny or shemale or confused or bi or homosexual type answering the call of nature. Why are we allowing over 98% of the public to be annoyed or offended for the sake of less than one percent who just happen to have gender confusion or one percent of perverts who want to get a free peep show?
I just don’t get it. Seems just a little selfish for someone with a perceived problem to want everyone else to be inconvenienced because of it. Sometimes you gotta play the hand you’re dealt, and if exposing your genitals that you think are the wrong ones by taking a shower in a public place bothers you that much, then do it at home. Like the doc says to the guy who complained about breaking his arm in three places: “Well, why don’t you just stay outta them places?”
I’m also having a bit of a problem wondering how so many people voted for an inexperienced, unqualified, un-American popinjay – TWICE – and why we’re going to wind up with a professional criminal as our next CEO. (I think he’s referring to Cankles, not Trump – GOC) Guess I just didn’t spend enough time in those honky-tonks . . . or read too many of the wrongest books.

The pen may be mightier than the sword, but it’s impotent when its message is directed to a nation consisting of 80% ignorant, self-centered, welfare parasites & 15% self-centered, pandering Liberal political parasites who belong to the “Washington D.C. Beltway Political self-betterment Society” for their avaricious reasons. That’s to control the 80% ignorant masses by setting one culture against another, destroy the constitutional legal system and establish a “faux” Socialist society where the 15% live like self-designated kings.

Ron, you’re absolutely correct. I’ve said it before, I’ll be 60 yo in Jan and this is NOT the nation that I grew up in. I miss all of the old timer relatives that were WW2 vets also. They were great men but, unfortunately I’m also glad they are dead. They wouldn’t recognize the rat hole the USA has become.
And the country they fought for in WWII. I’m glad my mother did not live to see this.

It’s been said that once the electorate figures out they can vote themselves free money, the democracy is finished. We have just about reached that point. The bloodsuckers are close to 50% of the population and they don’t want to give up the freebies they are getting so they vote for the liberals. The “conservatives” have realized this and are now acting more and more like libs to get some of that vote for themselves. The whirlpool going into the drain is getting stronger and stronger.

#1 – The last time I calculated, if you taxed the “rich” at a 100% rate the country would still be shortfall about $500 billion in the budget each year. Why not tell the truth about that. The financial problems are much deeper than what is being reported. Due to entitlements being the lion’s share of the budget, there is only a small part of the budget that is actually discretionary.
#2 – The last several presidential elections have split the popular vote rather closely. It appears to me that Republican and Democratic voters have split near 48%-48%. The efforts at appeasing the LGBT, Planned Parenthood, and minimum wage groups for that 4% of the voters that fall into the fringe are critical and appears why there is much interest paid to these groups by pandering politicians
#3 – It continues to amaze me that the endowments of the top 50 colleges and universities totals nearly $500 billion and the total compensation of the top 10 presidents/chancellors of these universities average $3 million per year and this is NOT an issue. Harvard and Yale each have endowments that average between $1- #2 million PER STUDENT. Maybe Senator Sanders should be reminded that when it comes to education, charity begins at home.
