Yet another cut from Montrose’s first album. Sammy said this was the second song he wrote.
If you have been paying attention, you must realize by now what an awesome album this was. I think this is the 5th cut I’ve featured from this album.

I hear fingers, strings, wood, metal, sweat, blood, and tears. Analog — that’s what I’m nostalgic for.
That outro section sounds like the late great Lonesome Dave from Foghat.
I have to tip my hat to the production on this record. It’s crisp, clear and has a great fidelity. The instruments and vocals are balanced very well. Sammy’s vocals have just the right amount of echo. The guitar of Ronnie Montrose has crunchy riffs and stinging leads that never overwhelm the song but still keep things rockin’. The drums crack and snap like thunder while the bass keeps time and maintains that necessary rhythmic root with the drums. Together, the band represent hard rock at it’s finest. A first rate record with great songs, great musicianship and great production.
