I normally post sumpin’ composed by a classical composer like Bach or Vivaldi played on classical guitar. Since it is Independence Day weekend here in the US, I’m posting an American classic, The Stars and Stripes Forever by John Philip Sousa, played on classical guitar by an American classic, Chet Atkins.
The true master of the guitar.
Chet, les Paul, and Django. Probably most pluckers these days have no idea who they were – or what modern guitar players owe ’em.
Absolutely awesome.
Top shelf. One of the greatest musicians of all time.
Thanks, Denny. A classic, fer sure.
Now that is good pickin!!! Chet is the man.
Ah Denny! You really know your musicians. So happy that you all listened to your patriotic bit. And I don’t blame you at all. After all, I just celebrated my Canada Day on the First. But just now, I went to hear Chet play Chopin and Mozart. He puts my piano to shame. And his Amazing Grace moves my soul as no other interpret ever did!
