Sorry. Took a few weeks off. Here is a compilation of five Megedeth guitarists playing one of the very best heavy metal guitar solos ever, the solo from Tornado of Souls. Of course, Marty Friedman’s is the best. He wrote it.

Glen Drover butchered it. A disgrace! He was in the band because Mustaine wanted his brother as a drummer and it was a package deal.

Pitrelli is better but still not close to Marty’s level. Pitrelli was only temporary. He had his own band.

Broderick is the only one close to Marty. He knew the solo and added a few embellishments of his own. He is a fantastic player. I was sorry to see him leave the band.

Kiko is not bad. I’ve seen him play a better version of this solo.

Neither Drover nor Pitrelli can play it better than 18-year-old Tina S.
