That was the headline above the fold in big black letters in today’s Atlanta Urinal and Constipation. Yep! Another attempt to try to convince us rubes in flyover country that we are not in a depression. I’d link to the article but it’s next to impossible to find stuff on the AJC’s website. This is just another instance of the LSM propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party trying to convince us, like they have tried every year of Oboner of how well the Obungler “recovery” is doing. Remember “green shoots” and “recovery summer”? This year the “good news” is a little late. Usually it’s at the start of summer so they can have another “recovery summer”. I think they delayed it this year to try and convince us that the economy is just spiffy so we need to elect Crooked Cankles to Soetero’s third term.

The article states that the income of typical Americans has gone up 5.2%. This comes from the Census Department. In other words, the gummint, which claims that we have 4.9% unemployment. Of course, that figure doesn’t include people who have given up looking for work. It’s a bogus number. We have the lowest job participation rate in over thirty years. And it is not the boomers retiring. Most boomers can’t afford to retire.

Oh boy! It claims the poverty rate fell by 1.2% “the steepest decline since 1968”. Yeah, I believe that just like I believe the unemployment numbers and the GDP numbers the gummint feeds us, yannow, the GDP numbers that always have to be revised downward.

The numbers, from the government’s annual report on income, poverty and health insurance, suggest the recovery from the 2007 to 2009 recession is finally beginning to lift the fortunes of large swaths of American workers and families.

Finally! And it only took seven-and-a-half years and massive budget deficits to do it. Doing nothing would have had a better result. By this time in the Reagan administration the economy was booming. We’re still in a depression no matter what the gummint sez. See my post from last week.

The Obama administration and its allies immediately hailed the new data.

I’ll bet they did. Finally! A recovery! Bullshit.

“This exceeds the strong expectations that I already had,” said Jason Furman, chairman of Barack Obama’s Copuncil of Economic Advisors, calling the income report the strongest ever from the Census Bureau. “The news here is the growth rates. I’ve read the last 21 reports, including this one. I have never seen one like this, in terms of, everything you look at is what you would want to see or better.”

Yep! We really made up some great numbers for this report.

The Obongo administration, with the aid of the LSM propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party, is pulling out all the stops in trying to get Hacking Hillary elected. What are a few bogus gummint numbers if it helps drag her across the finish line? Remember that under this president, GDP hasn’t grown over 3% in any one year of his administration. Since GDP has been reported this has never happened under any other president and the way this administration fudges numbers, I’ll be willing to bet that GDP is worse than what they report. I think we’re in a depression. There are no food lines because we have food stamps. Unemployment is way worse than what they report. Full time jobs have turned into part time jobs and a lot of those part time jobs are crummy minimum wage jobs. With the rise in the minimum wage, many of those jobs will go away.

This story is nothing to get excited about. It is total bullshit just like all the other stuff it feeds us.
