This is just another instance of the LSM propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party trying to convince us, like they have tried every year of Oboner of how well the Obungler “recovery” is doing. Remember “green shoots” and “recovery summer”? This year the “good news” is a little late. Usually it’s at the start of summer so they can have another “recovery summer”. I think they delayed it this year to try and convince us that the economy is just spiffy so we need to elect Crooked Cankles to Soetero’s third term.
The article states that the income of typical Americans has gone up 5.2%. This comes from the Census Department. In other words, the gummint, which claims that we have 4.9% unemployment. Of course, that figure doesn’t include people who have given up looking for work. It’s a bogus number. We have the lowest job participation rate in over thirty years. And it is not the boomers retiring. Most boomers can’t afford to retire.
Oh boy! It claims the poverty rate fell by 1.2% “the steepest decline since 1968”. Yeah, I believe that just like I believe the unemployment numbers and the GDP numbers the gummint feeds us, yannow, the GDP numbers that always have to be revised downward.

Yep! We really made up some great numbers for this report.
The Obongo administration, with the aid of the LSM propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party, is pulling out all the stops in trying to get Hacking Hillary elected. What are a few bogus gummint numbers if it helps drag her across the finish line? Remember that under this president, GDP hasn’t grown over 3% in any one year of his administration. Since GDP has been reported this has never happened under any other president and the way this administration fudges numbers, I’ll be willing to bet that GDP is worse than what they report. I think we’re in a depression. There are no food lines because we have food stamps. Unemployment is way worse than what they report. Full time jobs have turned into part time jobs and a lot of those part time jobs are crummy minimum wage jobs. With the rise in the minimum wage, many of those jobs will go away.
This story is nothing to get excited about. It is total bullshit just like all the other stuff it feeds us.

As you’re aware, I’m an accountant. At our mill we had no merit increases this year and it’s looking like there won’t be any next year either. Steel prices rebounded for a few weeks this summer, but they’re tanking quickly. The auto market is saturated, and other segments of our market have been dead for two years now. I may consider myself lucky to still have the same job next year at this time.
Denny, 100% agree. Stopped in Gainsville, TX today for coffee saw the NYTimes headline about how great the numbers are One, two syllable word for this story and it relate to what a male of the bovine species does in the barnyard!

These are the same numbnutz that say that food and energy increases don’t count when it comes to COL if it means a raise, but they do matter when makin’ the economic stats look better. I have trouble rememberin’ when food goin’ up is good, and when food goin’ up is bad. I must be pretty stupid.

I have a small Tool & Die company which I keep small deliberately , many of my contemporaries were Democrats & in the past believed the BS the Government fed them & spent money like a drunken sailor on a three day pass after 6 months at sea.When reality set in & the bills came due most went bankrupt. Imagine that!
I who am frugal & wishing to keep what I have achieved remain in business despite a second straight year of a declining work place…….Last year down about 20% & this year probably about the same.
Since I own everything free & clear, other then essential business expense” Taxes, Utilities ,Insurance ” I have no financial woes …Just a lucky Deplorable I guess!

So the average income has raised 5.2%. That’s all well and good. But, and it is a big but, the increase in Social Security payments to seniors living on only that income will be raised a whopping $3.00 or so a month. Big fucking deal. But health insurance rates are going up dome 33%, co-pays at a clinic have already gone from $20.00 (in our case) to $30.00, up 50%, food prices have gone up anywhere from 5% to 10% and more, depending on the particular items, prescription costs have increase out of sight. I take a thyroid medication . Two months ago, I paid About $5.50 for it (my insurance picking up the balance), last month the same medication was $14.00 and change. That income average, even though it
has gone up, is offset by higher costs of everything, thereby rendering any increase in income virtually nothing except a huge decrease. The touting of income increase in just more and more governmental bullshit. Period.
No Social Security raise at all last year but Medicare went up. I’ll be willing to bet Social Security won’t go up this year either but Medicare will go up again. We are in a depression.
