I made up my mind last spring that would not vote for any incumbent, save one, Jaime Herrera-Beutler. She is the Congress-critter from my district her in Vancouver USA. But, since she has come out and said that she won’t vote for Trump, but rather will write in Paul Ryan’s name, thereby wasting her vote. I e-mailed her last night telling her that, because of her stance against Trump, I will never vote for her again. No reply yet. Not surprising, at least this early.
Plenty of people are now realizing what’s actually been true for at least 20 years (likely 50+), it just wasn’t OBVIOUS yet.
And that is that there is no second party, no minority/opposition party at all. There’s only the UniParty, with one part that wants a horrid dystopia and they want it yesterday and the other that wants the same thing they just are too cowardly to admit it (and possibly just barely smart enough to realize the majority of Americans won’t — yet — take it lying down).
Here in Illinois the same thing happened. Jack Ryan was married to Jeri Ryan (an actress on Star Trek). When they were married he wanted to go to a sex club in Paris (with her!). The divorce records were sealed. Of course Obama had the Chicago Tribune go to court. It all came out. The republicans got the vapors and ran him out of town. They got Alan Keyes to replace him and he didn’t even live in Illinois. And here we are. Republicans are just born to lose. Content to be at the party.

The nice thing about America is that we don’t care if you say something about our politics. Now, spending foreign money to influence them is another story. That’s only okay if Dems do it.
The same thing happened to Newt Gingrich. He engineered the first Republican majority in the House of Representatives in over 40 years. Six years later the Republicans stabbed him in the back and he resigned as Speaker of the House and left Congress. They did the same with the Tea Party. The Tea Party led to the takeover of the House again but Republican “leaders” like Bitch McConnell and Johnny McRINO blamed them for not winning the Senate. Maybe if the “leaders” had supported the Tea Party Senate candidates they might have won. McConnell even gloated about fighting the Tea Party and winning instead of fighting Dimocrats. This is what has led to the rise of Trump.
That’s it in a nutshell, sir, and I guess the GOPe will forever be blind to this fact. As somebody who, while in HS, spread the word for Barry Goldwater, I feel badly about the wimps runnin’ things now.
