Blue California I can understand; Oregon was normal but cold when I went through there (1970). East Coast is blue, to match the colour of Union Army jackets. But why New Mexico and Colorado? !! I think my travel through New Mexico was at night, but Colorado seemed normal. Have they been drinking something that should be left alone?
Too many Californians moved to Colorado and Californicated it. The same thing happened to Oregon. In the 70’s Oregon had a slogan: Don’t Californicate Oregon. Alas it didn’t work. That’s why Oregon is blue.
Thanks Denny (and t’other denizens) – I have the blue and red bit, (even though our Conservatives are blue, and socialists are red ). Bad luck about Colorado and Oregon – used to be nice places. Maybe northern California could secede, then annex Oregon, and return it to sanity!
The news media used to flip them every election. One election Repubs would be blue, Dims red, then the next election Repubs red, Dims blue. Not sure when they settled for the current, but you’re correct. It is backwards. Dims should be red since they’re rat bastard commies and Repubs should be blue, but since the media, which is the propaganda arm of the Dimocrat Party decided it I guess they figgered the association with communism would be bad for the Dims.

I live in dumbfuckistan and even here, most of the state is red (by county). I suspect this is the case in all “blue” states.
I’m from Illinois originally. And outside of Chicago, Peoria, Champaign-Urbana, and Rock Island. This map that had the counties listed showed the entire state was red. It was listed as Pink in East St. Louis. That should be the most telling thing. She couldn’t even get Blue in East. St. Louis. But then again, the rest of Illinois is considered fly-0ver country by the people who claim to know it all.
Go to Chicago, Ill and you will live right in the middle of dumbfuckistan big time. Yes they openly encourage illegals to vote, and they do not call them illegals. “Undocumented ” who contributing to the greatness of America. Just like all the rest of the scum and vermin who live in that shit hole. Go down to southern Illinois and they have their heads out of their asses.
I must point out that Nevada is mostly a conservative state but because
Vegas makes up about 80% of the population they skew it to the left.
Give Clark Co/Vegas to Kalifornia and the rest of the state would be solidly
conservative.
The popular vote total is skewed because they don’t count the absentee and early voters unless they need to for a close election. If the number of ballots is more than the difference in the race, they count them. Historically the early and absentee ballots run about 2/3 republican. This doesn’t mean it’s always that way and it doesn’t mean it’s enough to move the total to Trump, but it is very possible that Trump did indeed win the popular vote too. The map showing which counties voted red vs. blue is the best argument for the electoral college. Without it, all of our presidents would be selected by the large urban areas and the rural areas would never be represented.
