The most disgusting word in the English language is the D word. Of course, I am talking about Diversity (All Hail Diversity!). Disgusting! In its current use, it is simply a different name for affirmative action, a policy that gave blacks jobs they weren’t qualified for, promoted them to positions they weren’t qualified for, and admitted them to universities they weren’t qualified to attend. Affirmative action got such a bad and justifiable reputation that the racial grievance industry had to come up with a new name for it and Diversity (All Hail Diversity!) was born. They added women, gays, crips, and Hispanics to the list to make it look good, but it has always been about blacks. How do I know? Look at the person in charge of Diversity (All Hail Diversity!) at your company, university, or gummint organization. That person will almost always be black. You’ll certainly never see a white dude holding that position.
Diversity (All Hail Diversity!) is what got us an unqualified doofus as president for the past eight years. Wouldn’t it be great to have a black president? No! Isn’t it about time to have a black president? No! Fortunately, we just dodged a bullet when the Dimocrats tried to tell us it was past time to elect a talking vagina as president. The question to ask is, isn’t it about time we have a qualified adult running the country instead of a thin skinned, narcissistic, childish racist?
There is no strength in Diversity (All Hail Diversity!). Look at the only meritocracy left in this country, professional sports. If there was “strength in Diversity (All Hail Diversity!)” the NBA and the NFL would not be majority black. We would have teams that “looked like America” not the ghetto. But blacks are better athletes. OK. If that’s so you have just admitted that there are differences between races and if that is so, maybe whites are smarter than blacks and are better technicians, scientists, managers, etc. Uh oh, now I’m a racist!
I remember BJ Clinton saying he wanted a cabinet that “looked like America”. Why? I want a cabinet that’s competent and I don’t give a flying you know what what they look like. Trump is being bashed because there is not enough Diversity (All Hail Diversity!) in his cabinet selections. Screw that! I don’t want Diversity (All Hail Diversity!) in his cabinet selections. We’ve had that the last eight years with dildos like Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Jeh Johnson, Gina McCarthy, Crooked Cankles, and all of the other incompetents that our incompetent Diversity (All Hail Diversity!) hire president has given us. You don’t hire people based on skin color, sex, sexual orientation, or ethnicity. You hire people based on competence. If most of them are white then it is too freaking bad.
You want a good job? Get a good education. Learn how to read, write, and speak English. Develop a work ethic. I have worked with blacks, gays, females, and Hispanics that have done just that. I have also worked with incompetents who were hired and promoted simply because they were black and female. Hispanics and gays hadn’t been added to the grievance ranks yet.
Diversity (All Hail Diversity!) and its companion multiculturalism are both total bullshit. Do you want to see Diversity (All Hail Diversity!) and multiculturalism in action? Look at the Balkans. And look what EUrope is becoming.
It used to be possible to at least make a moral argument in favor of some sort of advantage for blacks and Indians. These people got totally screwed by force of law, and simply removing the barriers wasn’t enough to balance the scales — or at least so a reasonable person may argue, and they’d have a strong point. There are practical problems here; as Denny points out, simply throwing someone into an upper-tier job or a competitive university is a formula for frustration and failure. But if it were possible to set things right, we should do so. But expanding this program to cover everybody is nothing but institutional racism. Not to mention it’s endless, as was the original “affirmative action”. And it’s sad that “black leaders” have signed on to the transition, because in expanding their political base, they’ve destroyed their moral base.

Yeah, it’s like hearin’ the term “level the playing field” that’s used so often. I tell people that I don’t want them sayin’ it to me unless they’re willin’ to follow the concept to its full, socialist conclusion. They’re all hypocrites if, as long as there’s one man on this earth who is barefoot and the do-gooders haven’t taken off one of their own shoes and sent it off to the poor bastard who has none. Some actually have to good graces to admit that, maybe they ain’t quite so literal about draggin everybody down to the same level and all of us workin’ our way back up equally. From the outset of the ‘Great Society’ the movement in the 60’s which was designed to remedy the inequality of slavery has resulted in the ‘dumbed down’, overly sensitive society we live in presently. As soon as you make a concession for one portion of a group, everyone elsein the group will seek an exemption for themselves. Ultimately people become so obsessed with getting special privileges they ignore the former path to achievement and success: namely hard work.
As long as our society continues this practice of ‘exception-ism’ instead of ‘exceptionalism’ we are doomed to be overrun by others who still believe in the value of hard work and personal achievement.
