Real sucky weather. Windy as hell. They closed off the mountain at the higher elevations because the wind was so bad. Still didn’t ski worth a damn and the wind had nothing to do with it. Don’t know what’s wrong. Arrrrggggghhhhh!

Frustrating day. It snowed last night so there was a lot of fresh powder. I haven’t skied powder in eight years. Also, my rig was out of balance skiing down to the six pack and I fell a few times. Up at the top, it was windy. Right as we arrived, a bodacious wind gust hit. A munchkin and his instructor were blown to the side and fell. They should have stopped the lift, but didn’t and when we came off, the wind took us right into them. No one was injured. Skied down with many falls and stopped so Tom,my instructor could get his powder skis. Took the gondola up to Elk Camp to get away from the wind.

To sum it up, I skied like crap today, prolly the worst I’ve done in over five years. Hopefully tomorrow will be better but we’re supposed to get more snow tonight.

Whew! Scary drive through the mountains today. When I left Denver and started climbing it started raining which eventually changed to snow as I got higher. It was slow going up to the Eisenhower Tunnel because of the snow and some ice on the road. On the western side of the tunnel the snow was really coming down and the road got treacherous. I almost hit one dude when he stopped suddenly. Fortunately there was room on his right so I missed him. I haven’t driven on snow in a while and it showed. As we descended, the snow changed to rain again but going up Vail Pass it changed back to snow. Then, after Vail it rained the rest of the way. Right before Glenwood Springs, a fuel truck had crashed and I-70 was closed both directions. They routed us over Highway 6 to bypass the accident. I normally stop at Glenwood Springs to get bananas and power bars, but it was raining too hard and I didn’t want to get drenched. It rained almost all the way up to Snowmass Village. Now it’s snowing up a storm. I’m all settled in and unpacked. I would have much preferred my BIL to do that drive.

I wheeled on over to Challenge Aspen to let them know I made it. Good thing I drove. The Aspen Airport is shut down. No surprise there. Sometines they reroute the flights to Grand Junction and buss the people up to Aspen. Not today. Grand Junction is shut down as well. So is Eagle.

I hear some Hollywood actress spouted off at some awards ceremony last night. Really? Who cares? I certainly don’t. I quit watching those awards shows when I became a adult. As for Hollywood actors? Their candidate Crooked Cankles lost the election. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Eat it! Real Americans don’t care what you liberal America hating booger eatin’ moh-rons think! We actually have a president now who loves this country. At least we will in another 11 days.

Denver Colorado

Yeah. Yeah. Another boring driving post. Drove from Independence Missouri to Denver Colorado. The weather was fine. It was 14 degrees when I left Independence and got all the way up to 55 degrees before I got to Denver. Fortunately, there wasn’t any snow or freezing rain like I had last year. Last year, when I left Independence, my windows were frozen shut. I had to open my door to get my ticket when I got on the Kansas Turnpike. Didn’t have that problem this year.

The nice thing about driving I-70 is the speed limit is 75 MPH all the way through Kansas and is 75 most of the way from the Colorado border to Denver. I usually drive that anyway, but I don’t have to worry about getting a ticket when he speed limit is 75. I don’t drive as fast as I used to. My BIL makes much better time since he usually does 80 and has a radar detector. Plus, his gas stops are shorter. Sure would be nice if I had a car that went fast, was fun to drive, had space for my stuff, and got 600 miles on a tank of gas.

Anyhoo, I made good time and got to the hotel by 3:30. It looks like I’m gonna be driving through some snow in the mountains tomorrow. Even worse, it looks like it might snow all week at Snowmass. That will suck since I don’t ski well when it’s snowing.

Independence Missouri

As is usually the case, the hardest part of the trip was getting through Atlanta. When I went to bed last night, I was worried since the forecast was for up to 3 inches of snow. When I woke up there was hardly any snow at all. There was, however, some ice. Lots of trees were iced. I-285 was icy but no real problem. Same with I-75. The Georgia DOT had the salt trucks out early and fortunately, there weren’t many cars out on the road at 6:00 AM. I still had to drive around 40 MPH on I-285 and on about 20 miles of I-75, I was gradually able to get up to 60, then 65, then 70. You could see where some bozos had driven too fast and lost control and their cars were stuck on the side of the road. There were at least three jack-knifed tractor trailers around Atlanta but none of them on my route. I was most worried about Tennessee. Didn’t need to worry at all. About 40 miles south of Chattanooga all three lanes of I-75 were clear and snow and ice free. It was that way the rest of the trip. I was able to cruise at 75 MPH.

Listening to the local Atlanta radio stations it sounded like we had gotten slammed by an awesome winter storm. Nope. They were even worried about people getting to work on Monday. Pussies!

Unfortunately, it was cold. My first gas stop, the temp was around 14 degrees and the wind was blowing. I learned my lesson from last year and this year, I packed a wool watch cap to put on my head so I didn’t lose a lot of body heat there. What a difference that made! When I drove through St. Louis, it was warmer than the high temp was supposed to be in Atlanta today.

I was hoping to get to Kansas City before the sun went down but the delay getting through Atlanta and some other stuff got me here around 5:30 CST.

Tomorrow it’s Denver where it’s supposed to be warmer than it is here. Go figger.

I said last year that this would be my last time driving out to Colorado. I was gonna go with my sister and BIL and let him drive. Unfortunately, back in October, my sister stomped on a bug and messed up her knee.

“How hard did you stomp on the bug”, I asked?

“Not very hard”, she replied.

Hard enough to mess up her knee. So, she’s not going skiing this year and I’m leaving tomorrow to drive out to Snowmass. It looks like the weather is gonna suck in North Georgia with freezing rain and snow. It’s currently raining and it’s supposed to turn into snow overnight. Fortunately, it will be Saturday and no one will be out and about and since I’m leaving around six, I hope I’ll be able to do OK. Once I get through Tennessee it should be OK. I’m planning on making it to Kansas City.

The car is all packed and gassed up and ready to go. Wish me luck.

Whenever the Dimocrats need to find two Republicans ready to stab their own party in the back they need look no further than John McRINO and his mini me Little Lindsey Graham. They bought into the “Russians rigged the election” hook line and sinker and are helping the Dims undermine Donald Trump. Therefore, they get to share the Asshole of the Week Award.

I guess you’ve all seen the video of the four subhuman blacks torturing a special needs white guy, while shouting “Fuck Trump!” and “Fuck White People!” Then, these racist subhuman idiots were dumb enough to video it and put it on Farcebook. Really! And when someone complained to Farcebook. Farcebook said it didn’t violate their standards. What kind of standards does Farcebook have? Anti-white? Fine. Anti-black? Evil.

The fallout from this event has been amazing. First we have the Chicago PD and the Fake News Media claim that this wasn’t a hate crime. Yannow, I think classifying crimes as hate crimes is total bullshit. It was designed to be used against white people to show them as being racist, homophobic, and xenophobic, but since the left started it, it’s only fair to use their rules against them. If this isn’t a racist hate crime I don’t know what is.

Anywhoo, we have the head of detectives of the CPD, a white dude, who was obviously leaned on, say it wasn’t a hate crime but kids acting badly. Then we have the police chief, Ed Johnson, claiming it was kids “acting stupid”. Yeah. Just like Dylan Roof acted stupid. I can see why Second City Cop calls this guy Special Ed.

Let’s try a little thought experiment. What do you think would happen if the races were reversed and we had four white “kids” kidnapping and torturing a special needs black dude while saying “Fuck Obama” and “Fuck black people”? The Fake News Media would be all over this 24×7. There would be riots in the streets. You notice that there aren’t any white people rioting right? That’s because white people are civilized. There would be nonstop looting and businesses would be burned down and then blacks would complain about no businesses being in their neighborhoods. Al Tawana Brawley Crown Heights Riots Freddie’s Fashion Mart Greek homos Sharpton and Jesse Hymietown Jackson would be out in full force. Obungler would give a speech about how racist the country is. This would be blamed on Trump and the Alt-Right. There would be calls for Trump to disavow these people and the Alt-Right.

But, since it is is black on white crime, we have the Fake News Media trying to cover it up. Same with the cops, who finally admitted that it was a hate crime. What was their first clue?

Where are the calls for Black Lives Matter toning down their rhetoric? Meanwhile, the White House sez it is too early to call this a hate crime. Right. Where are the calls for Obumbler to disavow this type of behavior among black people? Nowhere. Where are the calls for him to disavow BLM? Nowhere.

This is a result of eight years of Obongo increasing racial tensions in this country. Race relations are the worst I have seen in this country since the 60’s. The president who was supposed to bring us together has turned out to be a petty little black racist just like his two attorney generals. He and the Dimocrat Party have torn this country apart with their racist divisive politics. It’s disgusting. This disgusting event can be laid at the feet of Oblunder, the Dimocrat Party, BLM, and the Fake News Media. As Dalton said in Road House, “It will get worse before it gets better.” Look for more of this savagery from blacks. How much long will white people put up with this stuff?
