I’m gona give it to FBI Director Comey. Does this guy even listen to what he says? So much bullshit came out of his mouth before Congress this week the room should have been swarming with flies. He should have indicted Crooked Cankles this summer but was prolly afraid of dying. It’s time for Trump to fire this imbecile.
My understanding (correct me if I’m wrong) was that J. Edgar Hoover had long outlived his usefulness but remained in office until he died because he had something on many powerful people, so nobody dared fire him for fear of blowback. Comey comes across as something of a well-meaning bumbler with only a touch of the sinister; might he possibly have some quiet clout that insures his survival? I’m not saying I have reason to think this is so; just wondering.
The longer Comey is in the hot seat, the more he discredits and embarrasses the Obama administration. I believe President Trump knows and uses this.

It’s my understanding that FBI directors are appointed for a single 10 year term, and therefore Trump can’t fire him. The intent was to keep it from being a political appointment (riiight), and also to prevent J. Edgar Hoover from happening again.
You have to understand Comey has an inflated Ego…”swelled head” so he bought a larger hat & when he puts it on it covers his eyes & ears.
This means he cannot hear his aides promp`s or read the prepared statement ….so he wings it free style ,quite badly.
Comey or the FBI cannot file charges. That would be the DOJ’s job. All the FBI can do is investigate and recommend that charges be filed or not. But even then, it’s still the DOJ’s choice. And there’s no way the DOJ would have indicted the PIAP while Obama was still occupying the White House.
