Another night of no sleep. The pain started right before I went to bed. After an hour, I took another 5 milligrams of methadone. No help. After another hour I took a hydrocodone thus guaranteeing I wouldn’t sleep but at least I hoped the pain would go away. It didn’t. I was up all night. Finally around 10:00 AM after I had eaten breakfast, read the paper, and done the SUDOKU the bad pain abated and I fell into a fitful sleep most of the day.
I get these pain episodes on top of my usual pain about four to six times a year. I have had three of them over the last two weeks. I don’t know what triggers them and nothing seems to work until they play themselves out. They usually only last twelve to twenty-four hours. Twelve to Twenty-four hours of pure misery.
On the upside, Trump pulled out of the Paris Accords (Yay!) and liberal heads are exploding (Yay!). These idiots think that man controls the weather. Nope. Look up in the sky. See that big yellow ball? That is what controls the weather. Six hundred years ago the planet was warmer than it is now. At that time Greenland was actually green. That is how it got its name. It was self-sufficient. Was the world a worse place back then? Nope. Were there a lot of SUVs and coal fired power plants back then? Nope. Then, the Little Ice Age hit. Greenland was no longer self-sufficient. The climate in Vineland (the part of North America the Vikings visited) was no longer benevolent.
Back in the 70’s the big worry was global cooling as the squawking class thought we were headed into another ice age. All of the climate models showed it. Now, we’re heating up. Except we are not. That’s why they had to change the name from global warming to climate change. AGW is just a scam to cripple capitalist economies and to scam them into giving money to Third World countries. Of course, that money won’t go to the countries but to their corrupt rulers. The real science deniers are the AGW crowd who won’t release their raw climate data and refuse to subject it to rigorous scientific testing.
A volcano spews more CO2 into the atmosphere than man does. And where does this bullshit that CO2 is bad comes from? It is an essential gas for life on this planet. No CO2, no plants. Do these people hate trees and agriculture?
And the AGW crowd keeps telling us that there will be more and more bad storms. How have the last few hurricane seasons been? Been pretty clam down there in the Caribbean.

You can’t more hardcore than methadone and hydrocodone unless you go to Oxycontin or Fentanyl. To go on Fentanyl I would have to get completely off methadone.
“Trees store CO2” where do they get that BS? Trees synthesize CO2 into sugars, as do all plants. When the tree decays, those blocks of material get digested by bacteria. Science has been destroyed by these libtards. Has any of it survived? No wonder we are in such trouble, our schools churn out ID10T errors. Can we send them some place with NO green house gasses? Like Pluto?
As a weather forecaster with 24 years of experience, I have noticed something that the “Climate Change” Cult have been doing for the last several years, after repeated attempts to produce computer models that extend their disaster prognosis into the future…and having those forecasts fail every single time…They have now started doing computer models that give 50 or 100 year forecasts. I guess having their forecasts proven wrong has taught them to hide those results in the distant future so no one can dispute them with factual observations. One thing I always taught new forecasters, if your forecasts are continually wrong then you need to examine your assumptions, your data or your processes. If you can’t find any errors in these three areas, then forecasting is not for you.

Hope you’re feeling better and you can find what is triggering the increasing frequency of these pain episodes. I’m sure it’s a frustrating bummer. Yes, it seems with as “advanced” as we believe we are, and in a time when there has never before been so much information available to mankind to make reasoned conclusions, we fail miserably. As my mother says, “They’re so smart they’re stupid!”
Sorry you were in pain. I hope the doctors find a solution. I also saw an article stating that Mars and Earth can interact, changing each other’s orbits. Which can cause cooling or warming in addition to the big yellow ball. I’ll get worried when England is too hot to grow grapes; which it can’t now, but did in the early Middle Ages. The Domesday Book listed 28 vineyards in England, mainly in monasteries.

broken back?
I know it sounds like insincere concern when I say I feel your pain, but at 91 I’m losing a lot of sleep almost every night with leg cramps. So I really do feel your pain.
It’s from my broken back. It’s a burning in my feet which I have all of the time. When I get the pain episodes it can be like a nail is being driven between my first and second toe on my left foot. Or it can just be a throbbing in the first or second toe. Or it can be shooting pains up my left Achilles tendon. Or it can be a pain on the inside of my left knee. All places where I have no sensation.
I hope that this pain episode is over soon, and you get a few hours of good, natural sleep. I think the more pills you take, the less rest you get really. It always seemed that way also with my patients.
Very little sun here. So much rain. In my memory, the summers of my youth were much longer, warmer, sunnier than the summers we’re going through presently. I’m puzzled by all the predictions. But then, what do I know?
That’s why I took myself off hydrocodone (it wasn’t helping the pain) and cut my methadone dose in half. I get a little more pain but my sleep is better. I have the paradox effect where opioids keep me awake rather than put me to sleep. My sister has the same problem with benadryl.
Evidently the CO2 molecule reversed rotation r orientation or something since 1970s since it used would cause global freezing and now it causes global baking. (We don’t need none of the cooling and warming crap, lets go balls all out). When my son fires one of his big diesel trucks and makes it spew black smoke, I always think “the trees are going to breath easier now.”
