Didja ever wonder what would happen if the dog caught the car? Now we know. After campaigning endlessly against Obummercare, the Republicans caught the car and they are screwed. They have three options.
Option #1 – The best option. Repeal it. That’s it. Oh but 22 million people will lose their health insurance. Boo freakin’ hoo. How many of those people didn’t want to buy health insurance but were forced to? The 22 million is a bogus number. How do I know? It comes from Dimocrats and the Fake News Media. Remember SJW Rule #1. SJWs always lie. Always. The gummint shouldn’t be involved in health insurance anyway. If the Dimocrats hadn’t blackmailed John Roberts, Obummercare would have been declared unconstitutional, which it obviously is. Obummercare was a solution in search of a problem. There was no healthcare crisis except for Dimocrats who wanted a big gummint program for a vote buying scheme. Do you really think the Republican base would be upset if Obummercare was repealed. The people who would be upset vote for Dimocrats.
Option #2 – The next best option. Let it fail. It’s in a death spiral now. Insurance companies are exiting the exchanges right and left. I believe it’s Delaware that’s fixin’ to lost its last insurance company in its exchange. Big insurance companies like Aetna are bailing. Same with Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Premiums are going through the roof. Dimocrats own this. They passed it with no Republican votes.
Option #3 – The worst option. Repeal and replace. The Republicans don’t have the votes for this and anything they pass will simply be a fix for Obummercare, especially if they have to negotiate with Dimocrats. Then when the inevitable failure happens, Dimocrats and the Fake News Media will blame the Republicans.
Remember, the Dimocrats’ ultimate goal is single payer gummint run health care which will be a disaster. “Fixing” Obummercare is simply another step in that direction. Anytime gummint gets involved in sumpin’ prices go up. Look at what has happened with college. The same thing is happening with health care. Gummint needs to strep aside and let the free market work. Let insurance companies sell across state lines. The only real problem that needed addressing was preexisting conditions and that could have been fixed without a massive gummint program.
All I know is that the Stupid Party will find some way to fuck this up, just like they always do.
I like how they keep complain about the parts of the Republican’s plan that they’ve been able to read.
I seem to remember that some overpaid bitch told us we’d have to pass it in order to know whats in it – referring to the ACA/obamaCare.
” Oh but 22 million people will lose their health insurance…”
I was assured by Maxine Waters that it was 22 Trillion.
What about the people who lost their health insurance because they couldn’t afford the new premium? I was in that boat until I turned sixty-five. My premium went from $345 a month to $905 a month! Couldn’t afford! I’ve only heard these folks mentioned once, and I’m pretty sure it was either on RT or France 24.
I think Option 2 is far and away the best. I believe it should be fully implemented (Cadillac tax, etc) just to piss off even more people. Then they won’t be able to complain about those evil republicans taking it away. Let it crash and burn the way they wrote it up. Make them own it!
this gets my vote too !!! 🙂
So the communist leftists claim 22 million will die. How many people lost their coverage and died because of Obamacare? Don’t know, can’t know. All this government bullshit to cover people who don’t want it.
Just drop the crap and go back to free market principles. Unfortunately the republicans don’t seem to know what that even means.
In 2008 I missed the date to sign on with a company’s medical program so I had get my own coverage. I got coverage for myself and 2 kids for $360. per month. I had a pre-existing diabetes condition. That was $360. per month, $20 co-pay and $2000 deductible that was never a factor (for some reason never came into play). Since obamacrap came in I have not had medical insurance. As an American I refuse to sign up, give my personal info and refuse to be mandated.
I voted Republican for Repeal. Not Repeal and Replace.
I think it was Mark Levin I saw on TV the other day who said that if 22 million folks “lose” their coverage, you can be darn sure the free market will result in insurance companies coming up with some policies folks will like. After all, they can’t make money if they don’t sell policies.
(As an aside, I still hate insurance companies, except for USAA, and banks. I’ve had the same credit union since the middle ’70s in several states and and overseas, and it’s great… and not a bank.)
Excellent analogy Denny. The lying RINOs passed a number of repeal bills knowing full well Obama wouldn’t sign them.
They’re worse than despicable.
The stupid party aint gonna fuck things up, they are gonna do what their owners err donors want which is to do every thing BUT repeal. The fat cats want this no matter what us little people think.
What should happen won’t. Repeal it and then make an entry in their journal that health care is not a government concern per the Constitution, and while ensuring that Americans are treated fairly is important, and reasonable health care is also important, making insurance executives rich is not the job of Congress.
Door # 1 please. But, you’re right, Denny, the Stupid Party will blow this like Monica and Slick’s wick.
Option number 3 is pure BS. The idea that some members of the
GOP want to simply replace a government health care system with
another government run health care system is ABSURD! I blame this
fiasco on the fossils in leadership, those people who have become just
as seduced by power as the Democrats. Take these ten limp-dicks and
withered verginas and drop them into the Challenger Deep off the
Marianas Trench with cement overcoats! We are talking about
corrupt geezers like John McStain, Lindsey Graham, both of the
Sea Hags from the Northeastern states and few others.
I expect systemic corruption from the Demoncrats, but not from my
party! The reason these sufferers of senile dementia are not outed for
their corruption is that the Donks give them a pass because they are
playing the same game. Otherwise, John McStain would be knee deep
in corruption scandals with daily headlines reading name, (R,) State.
Getting the fake media to reveal the political affiliations of Demoncrats
in similar scandals is like trying to get one’s hands on the nuclear
launch codes!
Back when I was a kid, a boy who suffered a broken leg could have the
bone set and in a cast out pocket money.
That was before the professional politicians started imposing mountains
of taxes, regulations, fees, mandates and the like on health care providers
and insurance companies. Back in 1981, I discovered that 80 cents of
every health care dollar went to satisfy the lust for revenues imposed
by the political class. I would bet a thousand dollars that under Blow-
Job Billy and Barack Hussein Oblowme, it got even worse!
Total free-market alternative or let it die the cruel death it deserves.
PS I am no longer going to refer to Hillary Clinton as the communist
lesbian in the Mao Jacket. Rush Limbaugh came up with another
nickname: Felonia von Pantsuit, and I am going to steal it!
Felonia von Pantsuit was coined by Kurt Schlichter.
Sorry, I stole the line from the wrong person. Call me Uncle Millie!
