We don’t need people who are confused about their gender orientation in the military. It’s very simple. If you were born with a penis you are a male. It’s biology. It’s the chromosome thing. If you were born with a vagina, you are a female. It’s the chromosome thing. If you think differently, you have a mental disorder. We don’t need people with mental disorders in the military. We have enough of those already. Some in the military are Dimocrats and that’s enough people with mental disorders right there.
The thought of using defense dollars to chop off someone’s penis and give him hormone treatments is stupid. It’s disgusting that we did that for a traitor, Bradley Manning. Then we compounded that error by releasing him after we made him a her. This is the kind of bullshit that happens when you let Dimocrats run the military. The purpose of the military is to kill people and break things not to cater to some mentally bewildered people who think they are of the wrong sex.

The military requires a particular surrender of individuality to the whole, vastly more than other careers. That’s why they call them “uniforms”. Some people just aren’t suited, mentally or physically, for that degree of uniformity. Everyone has their place, and everyone should aspire to serve and be useful. But not everyone can fit in everywhere. We all deal with that, one way or another. We all seek our place, and thank God if we find it.
Suicide rates among the transgender population soars to something around 40%. We should give these folks guns? The suicide rate alone is a powerful message that these people need treatment, not the pretense that they are “different but normal”.
Still, it makes sense from the leftest point of view. Their greatest desire is to destroy the military. “Multiculti” on any social plane, sexual, ethnic, or religious, is the perfect platform to achieve that goal.
There are three major issues in this debate;

treatment including surgeries that can add up to five million per

On the flip side, the gender alterations would be performed by Army surgeons who probably couldn’t win Milton Bradley’s Operation against a five year old.
I thought the military already had a place for these types — it’s called the Navy. Weren’t they always stokin’ fires below decks? Didn’t the Village People write a song about it? Didn’t some admiral describe naval tradition as “nothing but rum, buggery, and the lash?”

There is no RIGHT to serve in the military. It is a privilege. Especially now, when it is all voluntary. I was injured in Viet Nam as a helicopter pilot. I had an engine failuer and as a result was sent to rest and relax in Cam Rahn Bay. The second night I was there the VC attacked the hospital and blew it up. I received shrapnel wounds and had both ear drums shattered. I was taken off flight status and later received a direct commission to first liutenant and later promoted to captain. When the war ended and pilots were no longer needed. I was released. It is always what the military needs, not what you want. It is always their
way or the highway.
60 years ago these people would have been diagnosed with OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) today they’re treated like they are special.

Since Trump’s tweet hit the air, I’ve read a whole buncha commentary on the topic. I’ve always been against the whole idea of publicizing or providing public funds for pubic problems in the military or anywhere else.
Homosexuality and transgenderism have been around since mankind descended from the trees and learned how to walk upright. And it’s NEVER a bigger percentage of the overall population than can be counted on the fingers of one normal hand.
Transgenderism is less than HALF A GODDAM PERCENT of the US population, so why is it such a big friggin deal that everybody else has to sacrifice THEIR dignity, THEIR safety, THEIR lifestyles to accommodate a tiny group which got a bad deal from Ma Nature.
People are born every day with various disfigurements, such as polydactylism, cleft palate, spina bifida, dwarfism, tourette’s, down’s syndrome, and other afflictions. They cope; the families cope; they adjust; they get by and play the hand they were dealt.

The military can expose soldiers to situations that push them past the psychological breaking point. Training pushes that breaking point much further out. Cohesion does the same. Uniformity simplifies a situation – one less thing to think about.
In a business / office environment we have the luxury to take time to assimilate diversity. Still, too much of that can sink a company.
The military doesn’t have the luxury to worry about superfluous feelings. Nor does it have the luxury of sinking.

What is a transgender ? It can’t be anything more than someone with a brain defect as it’s physically impossible to transform a gender. If your gender defining chromosome is Y and you undergo a gender reassignment surgery your gender defining chromosome is still Y. Y’anow, in the old days, we called “gender dysphoria” people “queers.” An example is: “if you are a boy, and you like female stuff.”, etc…if you are a boy, and you think you want to screw other boys, with or without the lipstick and boobs, you are queer. If you’re anorexic, they call it “body dismorphia” (which means that what you see when you look in the mirror is not what’s actually there) which is treated with psychological help, and prescription drugs, not with gastric bypass surgery.
So, why does body dismorphia involving gender require sex reassignment surgery? It’s the same problem, isn’t it?
That said, I’ve got a 15-lb. Yorkie-mix mutt that has body dismorphia. She looks in the mirror and sees a 60-lb. pit bull. Don’t know that there’s any help for that one.
