Good one there Denny. While we are talking about Monday. Monday is 9/11 the day that will live in infamy for me for the rest of my life. I remember exactly where I was at the moment I say those planes slam into the World Trade Center towers. I hope you say something Monday, please do not hold back. Thanks Defshepard.
Oakwood and Rotunda. Building 2, clay studio. Listening to WRIF when the first plane hit, then the second. Switched the studio’s closed circuit TV corporate programming over to network news. Horrific. By noon, FoMoCo sent us all home. For me, back then, my home was in Dearborn. Yes, I witnessed many muslims celebrating in West Dearborn. To this day still do not understand how did not end up in jail that afternoon.
AlphaDelta, I heard of plenty of stories of Muslims celebrating world wide on that awful day. What still sticks in my memory where the number of cowardly sniveling people that called into talk radio shows and said we should not go to war, but surrender unconditionally instead. I listened to them and thought to myself ” And you actually call yourselves Americans.” Made me sick just listening to them.
I remember that arrogant liberal Peter Jennings insisting on calling it an accident and then when the second plane hit he was struggling for words because he still refused to call it an attack.
Then later when describing events on the third plane he couldn’t stoop and get himself to utter the quote “Let’s roll!” so with a typical snobby elitist East Coast air he snorted “Let us roll,” which sounds more like he’s ordering a vegetarian sandwich than giving a call to action.

I will never forget.

My good friend, Steve, was in UAE at that time. The Arabs were celebrating in the streets. They were afraid to go out of the hotel that day.
I think that date would be the pits.

I believe that Peter Jennings was a Canadian azzhole.
He’s one of those fruits from California right?
