I’ve been waiting for Ron to weigh in on this topic. I put together excerpts from some emails he sent me.

Then the discussion switched to the NFL protesters. So I shut the thing off and came in here to read the news without the innuendo and sarcasm. First thing I ran into was some pissed-off retired Army guy who says they’re just a buncha “kneegers.” Reason I know that is that the blogger tagged the item with that printed word.
Then I found one ranting about the frequency of arrests of NFL players. And once again, as with so many other protests in this country these days, I don’t know what the hell they all want.

Neither do they. This is a case of monkey see monkey do. They claim it’s not about the flag or the anthem. If that’s so, why do they protest during the anthem. They have bought into the Black Lives Matter bullshit and the mythology of Michael Brown having his hands up and saying “Don’t shoot.” They don’t realize that more white people are killed by cops even though more black people commit violent crimes. Thirteen percent of the population and they commit over fifty percent of the crime.
Just a partial list of the criminals playing in the NFL. USA Today posted a list of NFL players arrested. Because they are professional athletes, they are treated differently and often just get slaps on the wrists. The NFL seldom disciplines them for being arrested.

Apparently like the libs, who believe that ousting DJT would usher in a socialist utopia with Hill and Bernie and Fauxcahontas in which everything is free, including abortion on demand, health care, education, housing, food, and of course weed, the NFL morons believe that if they make big enough nuisances of themselves, all white people’s wealth will be confiscated and given to poor blacks as reparations for something that happened 200 years ago.
Maybe they think that if all the white or Asian people in power positions were replaced by blacks, everything would be hunky-friggin-dory for the oppressed black millionaires in the various entertainment industries.
Yeah, right. Like in Detroit, or Zimbabwe, where the rich and powerful whites were chased out of town and replaced by blacks. I can just imagine a country run by Al Sharpton, Jemele Hill, Keith Boykin, and O.J. Simpson.
Oh, waitaminnit – we already HAD that, with Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Susan Rice, and Barry Soetoro. Worked out great, dinnit! Everybody MUCH happier now, and the national debt only doubled from $10T to $20T during that administration while the infrastructure was restored, the military was revitalized, education was reinvigorated, and the economy was re-energized.
In very short order, the monuments to Jefferson, Washington, and even Kennedy would be torn down. The flag would be replaced by a black field with a fist, and the faces on currency would be Malcolm X, Rosa Parks, Trayvon, Michael, LeBron, Aretha, and Kaepernick.
This all is traceable back to DingleBarry. When he was elected in 2008, race relations were MUCH better than they are now, and nobody was pulling down confederate statues or dissing the national anthem at sports events.
During his tenure, tho, race was the fallback on nearly every issue, more often than not, and always without any logical reason for it. Very few people burned down buildings or blocked streets in 2008 because the police were racist. Nobody was indiscriminately targeting police officers for assassination. Nobody made a big deal out of Confederate statues or wanted the Jefferson Memorial demolished because he owned slaves.
And nobody was suggesting that the “Star-Spangled Banner” is racist, that it shouldn’t be sung or honored by black athletes, or that the sports fans really want politics injected into ball games.
Kneegers. Yeah, I think that guy hit it spot on. Overhyped, pampered, ignorant, misled, overpaid assholes who drank the Kool-Aid and bought into the halfrican’s propaganda that it’s all white people’s fault, and once we get THEM on THEIR knees, everything will be great, just like in Kenya, or Somalia, or Egypt, or Chad, or . . . . . . .

I read somewhere that if you put whites on an island you get England, Asians on an island you get Japan, blacks on an island, you get Haiti.

And the more I thought about those ignorant black whiners complaining about something they refuse to hear the truth on, the 23rd Psalm popped into my head. Kept rewriting and editing it while the dogs did their thing, starting out with “Obama is my shepherd; I shall not starve.” Finally wound up with this edition by the time I came back in a few minutes ago:

Yep. Ya wanna talk about social inequality? Howza ’bout the trillions we have wasted trying to civilize blacks and elevate them into the middle class? How has that worked out? Has it made them stay in school and get an education? Has it made them quit having children they cannot afford? Has it made them quit rioting every time some worthless thug like St. Michael of Swisher Sweets or St. Trayvon of Skittles gets killed in self defense? Now they’re fixing to kill the golden goose by destroying the NFL.
The owners could have nipped this in the bud last year when Colon Krapperdick started his antics but they buried their heads in the sand and hoped it would go away when no team hired him this year. Now they are faced with a dilemma and they are handling it wrong. They are also in denial.

And if you think about it, if the country actually was four-square for equality, the NFL would only be 13% black instead of 75%; and various local, state, and federal governmental positions/agencies wouldn’t be more than 13% either.
Hsve you ever talked — in confidence, over a few beers — with black immigrants from Africa or the Caribbean? The ones I’ve talked with tend to view American blacks as the stupid descendants of losers, lazy bums who are pissing away an opportunity that people in other countries risk their lives to get — the opportunity to participate in American society as Americans. And these black immigrants tend to prosper here, because they don’t share the pathological values and behaviors of native-born blacks.
That’s true. I know a nurse who migrated here from South America. She asked the blacks where she worked why they didn’t speak proper English and got all over their cases when they started bitching about how rough they had it. She chided her son when he came home from school talking like ghetto blacks.
Tonight I read an article online about a group of Black teenagers assaulting a family at a amusement park, beating a 12 year boy and a Father and Mother senseless. This happened in the Chicago land area. According to the police the family was lucky to alive and the young teenagers were snarling at the officers even as they were being arrested. There is a double standard here and the stench is to much for me to accept anymore. This is the root of my anger at this garbage I see from the protesters. And why I have zero sympathy for them or their kind anymore.

Exactly, this is why I am done with this bunch kneeling at NFL games and all the hype it has gotten. And yes you are right it has been buried like so many other “incidents” over the past years.
The more we get upset about it, the bigger news item it becomes. This is nothing more than a fad, like the “occupy” movement. Remember that? As Ron White says so well, “you can’t fix stupid”. Don’t attend the games and if on TV tune in after the 1st qtr. Just ignore the spoiled, ignorant athletes.
The more we get upset about it the more it hurts the NFL and its brand. Don’t attend the games and don’t watch them on TV. The NFL will notice. It already has.
The Steelers owner has attempted damage control by sending a letter to Steelers fans. The Negro Basketball League has already said it would not put up with kneeling. It fined a player a few years ago for not standing. We’ll see what happens if an NBA player or players decide to ignore the rules. It will be interesting.
