Once upon a time back in he late 60’s and early 70’s there was a band called It’s a Beautiful Day, another one hit wonder band. The hit was called White Bird. It’s really a shame since they were a really good band. I have their first album and there are a lot of other good songs on it: Hot Summer Day, Bombay Calling, Girl With No Eyes, and Bulgaria. The band featured David LaFlamme on electric violin and vocals. In 1971 they changed guitarists and rocked up some more. They recorded a live album at Carnegie Hall and some of their songs really rocked out. Their performance of White Bird on this album featured a long solo by the new guitarist culminating with him and LaFlamme in a duet. That’s what I’m posting here. Enjoy!

Roger Goodell was in the lead for his latest weaseling. He said the players “should stand” but the NFL wasn’t gonna force them to stand. Way to try and have it both ways Rodge. In his press conference he mentions “communities”, “issues”, and “community issues” more than Obungler would mention “me” and “I” in a typical speech. Rodge, you and the owners have seem to forgotten the the NFL has one job: play football. It is not a social justice organization concerned with “community issues” or “issues in communities”. It is big men on a field committing violence on each other. Have you looked at the TV ratings? Have you looked at the half filled stadiums?

But Roger the weasel was beaten out by one of the most disgusting human beings on this planet: Dimocrat congresscritter Frederica Wilson the stupid African woman in the cowboy hat. Sarah Huckabee Sanders properly labeled her as “all hat and no cattle”. This despicable excuse for a human, listened in on a private condolence call from Trump to the wife of a soldier killed in Niger (WTF are we doing in Niger?) and twisted and politicized what he said and made it public. What she is bitching about was Trump saying “He knew what he was getting into…” I imagine the complete sentence was, “He knew what he was getting into, but volunteered anyway.” or sumpin’ like that. Instead, this total waste of skin, bone, and blood made it sound like Trump was blaming the soldier, and of course, the wife who put this private call on speaker is a pawn for this Trump hating harridan who is standing on her husband’s bloody corpse spouting her Trump hatred. She is now calling herself a rock star. This is today’s Dimocrat Party.

Of course, now that there has been push back by the likes of General Kelly, who lost his son in combat, and others who have received condolence calls from Trump she is falling back on that time honored refuge of all Africans: the race card. Yep! General Kelly is a racist. Sorry bitch. The real racist is you. You are disgusting and a total asshole. Here’s your award.

Never know what’s gonna get caught up on the thought wheel in my brain in the early mornin. Today it was an old C & W song “Take Your Memory With You When You Go.” Stuck on replay. Finally, tho, down by the dentist’s office, it went into a fade and another one dropped onto the turntable: “Dreamin” by Johnny Burnette,

And somehow that led into Negro Football League kneeling, which my brain quickly classified as inappropriately appropriated symbolism. Only thing this phony posturing and protesting is likely to accomplish is widening the racial divide and undercutting the average black people’s agenda, which was doing very nicely until DingleBarry came along.

Black people are by many powers of 10 more likely to be killed by black criminals than by white policemen. Michael Brown wouldn’t even be dead if he hadn’t charged a cop and tried to take his gun away after robbing a convenience store. Black people are more likely to win the lottery or be hit by lightning than murdered by police brutality.

Anybody who believes this “protest” by pampered millionaire entertainers, many of whom are felons, is providing the impetus for average Americans to “have a conversation” about race relations and deprivation and reparations and social justice and all that hogwash need to have their gyroscopes readjusted. When blacks or liberals say they want a “conversation,” what they really mean is that they’re going to list their demands and expect the rest of us to kneel and listen.

Average people tend to believe that sports and politics don’t mix, and SHOULDN’T. They want NFL games to be an escape from the BS of Congressional gridlock and political hypocrisy and international terrorism, not a platform for ethnic debate. And they certainly believe that the national anthem and the flag should be respected, not used as a focal point for “Me! Me! Look at ME!” I’m important because I can catch balls and run.

Many entertainers who are parroting the sadly misinformed Kaepernick are no more than copycats, monkey-see/monkey-doers. And those who aren’t even black are me-tooing out of some misguided sense of doing the politically correct thing, not that they honestly want poor black families moving into their neighborhoods or their children hanging out with black kids in the ‘hood.

Goodell, and Jones for that matter, see their players as nothing more complex than thoroughbred horses. They need good food, good stalls, good medical attention, and good practice facilities. They are the sports/entertainment version of plantation slaves in every sense of the word to the coaches, managers, owners, and league officials.

None of them REALLY want to be close friends with arrogant running backs who will be destitute 10 years from now, or wide receivers who will be non compos mentis by the time they’re 50, or 300 lb masses of tattooed flesh who speak in monosyllabic grunts and eat whole calves for lunch. And they CERtainly don’t want to be seen in social situations with pituitary freaks covered in ink and wearing ostentatious bling everywhere on their bodies, including their teeth, ears, and nostrils.

What these morons don’t realize is that they are killing the golden goose.

Goodell and some owners met with some players today and according to Goodell, the subject of kneeling wasn’t brought up. Yeah. I’m sure that’s true.

The N.F.L. for now will continue to let players kneel or sit during the national anthem without a penalty, capitulating to demands by the athletes for free expression but potentially further alienating fans who object to the protests and feel they are disrespectful to the flag and the military.

But, after a meeting Tuesday with union representatives and players, the league did promise to help support some of the causes targeted by the protesting players, including reform of the criminal justice system.

Dear NFL – You have one job and that is to play football. Unfortunately, you have forgotten that is your primary reason for existence. How much longer will you ignore the declining ratings and declining ticket sales? MNF set another ratings low this week. CBS is taking it a hit in earnings due to declining ratings. Pete Rozelle, Vince Lomabardi, Tom Landry, George Halas, and many other football legends would not have put up with this crap.

In less than four weeks you have gone from the number one sport in the country to the least liked. Quite an accomplishment. You can always replace the players. Good luck replacing the fans.

OK NFL Kneegroes, you say you are kneeling to protest “social inequality”. So let’s talk about social inequality. Howza ’bout crime? You guys should be well acquainted with that since most of you have arrest records.

Africans make up 13% of the population but commit over 50% of the crime. How’s that for social inequality? But wait! It gets worse! That crime is mainly committed by males so that knocks it down to 6.5%. But wait! There’s more! Most of the crime is committed by males between 15 and 45 so that prolly knocks it down to 3%. So 3% of the population commits over half the crime in this country and you are bitching about social inequality? Holy crap! We white people are the ones who should be taking the knee to protest social inequality caused by Africans!

The gun grabbers are all clutching their pearls about the 59 people shot in Las Vegas. Yannow what 59 people shot and killed is? A normal month in Chicago where Africans kill other Africans. There have been 565 homicides so far this year, most of them Africans. That’s just one city. Where is Black Lives Matter on that? If all of the Africans were to mysteriously vanish from America, this would be one of the safest countries in the world. More social inequality caused by Africans.

You complain about police brutality. Here’s a novel solution. QUIT COMMITTING CRIMES! Anyhow, most of the police brutality you bitch about is hyped from a few publicized cases like Rodney King. Cops get just as brutal to white people. Bad cops are bad cops. And would it surprise you to hear that more whites are killed by cops that Africans even though Africans commit more crime?

Africans are over-represented in the prison population. Of course they are. THEY COMMIT MORE CRIME! And the only reason many of you guys aren’t in prison is because you are professional athletes. Guess what? When you kill the NFL, which is what you booger eatin’ moh-rons are in the process of doing, you won’t get that Get Out Of Jail Free Card anymore. You won’t have the NFL bail you out because you’re a star player. You’ll be doing time with your fellow African thugs.

You dudes are too stupid to realize that you are simply tools of liberals who want to kill professional football. They have been trying to do it for years and now they have you guys doing their work for them. TV ratings are in the ditch and the NFL is having trouble filling stadiums. Yannow what that means? Less profits. Smaller salary cap. Smaller salaries and players on the cusp cut due to salary cap reasons. Welcome to the unemployment line for protesting “social inequality” largely caused by Africans who have done it to themselves.

Yeah. I’m blaming the victim. I’m blaming the 13 year old African girl who gets pregnant and guarantees herself to a life of poverty. I’m blaming the fact that 3 out of 4 African children are born to single mothers. I’m blaming the high dropout rate and low graduation levels in the African community. I’m blaming the role models boys with no fathers have of pimps, drug dealers (drug dealer Freddie Grey just had a recreational center named after him in Baltimore – how stupid is that?), obscenity spouting rappers who denigrate women, and semi-literate athletes like you Kneegroes who are disrespecting the flag. They should be looking up to successful black men like Ben Carson, Thomas Sowell, and Clarence Thomas but they’re called Uncle Toms by your leaders. There’s part of your social inequality right there.

I could go on and on about how you eat up gummint resources with welfare, EBT and Section 8 housing and all of the money we have wasted trying to lift you up into the middle class but it’s nothing that I haven’t written before many times. I’m kinda enjoying watching you stupid Kneegroes commit economic suicide due to your own stupidity. The NFL is over for me and many others until the owners get some stones and put a stop to your stupidity. If they don’t? Enjoy prison.

I spent the weekend in beautiful Etowah Temnnessee. Every year in October, Eric and his lovely wife Fiona have a bunch of us reprobates (and some classy people) up to his house for his birthday. He held it a little earlier this year. This originally started out as a collection of bloggers since that is how Eric met all of us. Now, everyone has moved over to Farceberg and I think I’m the only full time blogger left.

This year was the smallest group that I can remember. Some of the normals came to Eric’s for the eclipse and couldn’t come again in October. Others had prior commitments. Therefore, it was a more intimate collection of folks this year.

I arrived earlier than normal on Friday. The smart thing to do if leaving Atlanta on a Friday is to leave early. Eric and I were able to spend a lot of one on one time talking about history. Eric has gone back to college, alas after his GI Bill benefits expired. He is majoring in history and since history is one of my passions, he and I spent a lot of time discussing history. He’s an interesting guy to talk to.

It was much warmer this year than it usually is. There have been times when the weather has been in the 50’s when we have been there. This year, it didn’t even get down in the 50’s at night. I know. Global Warming.

Eric always serves us a great dinner on Saturday night. He used to barbeque but he found a great place and has outsourced the job to them. We had brisket and pulled pork. Plus one of our group made some killer mac and cheese. If you go hungry at Eric’s on a Saturday night it’s your own damn fault.

Good eats and I got to watch Georgia kick Missouri’s ass in football. Being from Missouri you would think I would root for Mizzou but that ended when they capitulated to the SJWs two years ago. Funny, their fortunes have really declined since then. Enrollment has dropped. Dorms are sitting empty and unused. Alumni donations have dried up. People don’t seem to realize that SJWs ruin everything. Look what’s happening to the NFL.

As usual, the weekend was far too short. It’s a shame I only see these folks once a year.
