Consumer confidence is at a 17 year high. The Dow Industrials topped 24000. It looks like this is gonna be a good Christmas for retailers. They have just revised the third quarter GDP up to 3.3%. Unexpectedly. Remember, storms were the excuse for bad GDP numbers under the Obamessiah. The Trump economy shrugged off three hurricanes.

The Fake News Media is saying that Trump is insane. If so, it looks like the best thing for the economy is an insane president. This SRF© is richer (not to mention snottier) than he has ever been before. Even though I’m forced to take money out of my 401-K it is still growing faster than ever. It’s worth more than at the start of the year.

I don’t know how long this boom is gonna last but I’m enjoying it while it does.

I’m also enjoying the downfall of all the liberals. This all started with the left trying to take down Fox News. They got O’Reilly and Ailes and failed with Hannity. Alas, for the libs, I think women coming forth to take down O’Reilly and Ailes emboldened women to come forth about the sexual depredations of Weinstein, Lauer, Franken, Conyers, Thrush, Halperin, Rose, Keiller, and many others sure to come. I guess all of these liberals thought they could get away with it because they support women’s issues and the feminists would protect them just like they protected BJ Clinton. Are all of you feminists happy now that you enabled all of this stuff? I doubt if any of this would have come to light if Thunder Rodent Thighs had been elected. Yet another reason to be thankful for Trump.

Her tone more or less implied that his apology makes it all nicey-nice and puts an end to the issue.

HFS! Franken’s “apology” is so vague and nebulous in its deliberately ambiguous duck-dodge-and-evade generalities he may as well have been referring to sneezing at a Notre Dame football game.

Of course then Conyers . .. . Pelosi first defended him as a “national icon” who has done “marvelous things for women’s rights,” but then later she fumbled on that end run and said she was “disappointed” by his behavior. So . . . what does THAT mean, Nan?

Next it was another in the interminable comments about HRC and her “it wasn’t my fault” book-peddling tour. Jeeeez, talk about a set of useless skills. Franken is a career failed entertainer, Clinton is a career failed prevaricator, and Conyers is a career failed demonstrator.

Pelosi is the Duchess of Deterioration, Conyers is the Earl of Exhibitionism, and Olbermann is the Duke of Dork. Clinton is, among other things, the Queen of Quibble. Imagine, after all the ink she’s spilled explaining her loss and why everyone’s against her, what her suicide note would be like . . . at least 200 pages, I reckon.

New Home Sales Rise.

Sales of new U.S. single-family homes unexpectedly (emphasis mine – GOC) rose in October, scaling their highest level in 10 years amid robust demand across the country, offering a boost to the housing market.

The Commerce Department said on Monday new home sales increased 6.2 percent to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 685,000 units last month. That was the highest level since October 2007. September’s sales pace was revised down to 645,000 units from the previously reported 667,000 units.

There’s that word again: unexpectedly. Remember, back during the Obungler reign all of the bad economic news was “unexpected”. We constantly heard from the Fake News Media about “recovery summers” that “unexpectedly” didn’t happen or “unexpected” low economic growth. Didja hear the news about Taiyesha Baker? Hmmmm. Wonder what race she is? Nice of Africans to give their children such distinctive names so we can identify their race immediately. Anyhoo, she recently tweeted the following:

An Indiana nurse is under investigation after claiming white women raise sons that tend to be ‘killers, ‘rapists’ and ‘terrorists.’

The woman, who is being identified as Indiana University Health employee Taiyesha Baker according to Fox 59, tweeted about boys being the ‘detriment to society’.

The tweet came from an account named ‘Night Nurse’ which has been linked back to Baker.

I’m thinking she might have made a big mistake here.

An IU Health spokesman confirmed that Baker is a registered nurse, but refused to reveal the hospital she is currently employed at.

‘IU Health is aware of several troubling posts on social media which appear to be from a recently hired IU Health employee,’ the hospital said in a statement.

‘Our HR department continues to investigate the situation and the authenticity of the posts. During the investigation, that employee (who does not work at Riley Hospital for Children) will have no access to patient care.’

According to public records Baker was most recently issued a nursing license on October 30.

The troubling post first appeared on the Twitter account @tai_fieri, but the account was deleted Saturday.

Back in either 1971 or 1972 on July 4th, they held a good rock concert at a rodeo arena in Camdenton Missouri at Lake of the Ozarks. Here was the lineup: Jo Jo Gunne, The James Gang (after Joe Walsh had left), Brownsville Station, and Black Oak Arkansas. Originally Quicksilver Messenger Service was on the bill but they were replaced by Jo Jo Gunne. The price of admission? Five bucks. I loved the 70’s! I don’t think I ever paid more than 10 bucks to see a rock concert and I saw acts like Yes, Jethro Tull, The Who, and many others. Anywhoo, I have featured all of the acts from that concert before. Here’s Brownsville Station doing the original Smoking in the Boys Room. Brownsville Station used to be all over the stage and I remember once seeing Cub Koda, the guitar player, sliding between the bass players legs.

As I was driving back from South Carolina on Friday I happened onto an NPR station that had on a program featuring Eliot Fisk who had transcribed all six of Bach cello suites to classical guitar. He played excerpts from some of them. I decided to find him playing his transcription of the Prelude from the Cello Suite #6. I didn’t really like it so I searched for other versions. I found one of a nice looking blonde lady playing it. Nope. I’d already posted it. I continued searching and I came upon this one. Wonderful transcription and a beautiful interpretation. I think Bach would have approved. Enjoy!
