For Veterans Day Weekend

I have received this email from many readers and am posting it here.

Veterans Day Nov 12

There are a few issues that demand motivation to act.

THIS WILL MAKE A STATEMENT…

For those of you who were insulted by the NFL players’ actions in regards to the National Anthem; here is something you can do to voice your opinion. It is totally contradictory to complain about the players kneeling, sitting or not being present for the National Anthem and continue to support the NFL. After all, the fans do support the players salaries!

Veterans are asking for a National boycott of the NFL on Sunday November 12th, Veterans Day Weekend. Boycott all NFL football telecasts., ticket holders should not attend any games; let the teams play in empty stadiums. Pass this post along to all your friends and family. Honor our military, some of whom come home with the American Flag draped over their coffins. Continue with the weekly boycott of televised games. Pass it on Shipmates.

NO FOOTBALL on NOVEMBER 12 VETERANS DAY WEEKEND.
Do something rewarding with your family like helping vets.

I boycotted the NFL last season and only watched the playoffs because the Falcons were in them. I had hoped the Africans would come to their senses this year but that didn’t happen and then I saw Jerry Jones kneel with his players and Arthur Blank stand arm in arm with his players after Trump called the owners out. This was essentially giving the finger to their best fans. I’m now done with the NFL. The Falcons could go to the Super Bowl again (not likely) and I would not watch it. I don’t even read about the NFL in the sports pages or look at the standings. They have lost me just like they have lost many other fans. The owners think they can weather this storm and the fans will come back. As long as the Kneegroes keep protesting that ain’t happening. Goodell and the owners have no balls.

So no worry. I will not watch the NFL on Sunday. I hope many veterans will do the same and continue to boycott the NFL for the rest of the season. Fuck the NFL!

    • You said it, sir. I don’t watch that shit anyway, but if I’m anywhere this weekend and there’s a game on TV, I’ll leave.
BTW, it sounds as though you were MRF. What unit?

  1. I’ve been a Patriots fan since 1981. In all of those years I might have missed maybe three or four games. I haven’t watch the Payriots since they kneeled week two. Fuck em’

  2. Screw ‘Em!

Sold my season tickets 4 years ago after I had gotten tired of watching the NFL shit on their fans. The Browns being allowed to abandon Cleveland. The Bengals fielding suck ass team after team of criminals after they blackmailed the taxpayers into building them a brand new $450 million dollar stadium. And then the taxpayers guaranteed it to be full for every game for 10 years, and when it wasn’t they paid the Bengals for the empty seats.
If Paul Brown were alive he would go full Woody Hayes on Goodell & the entire NFL ownership.
    Screw ‘Em!

  3. I haven’t watched a game all season, and have no intention of starting .

Luckily, having formerly been a Giants fan, it is no hardship whatsoever .

  4. Love to join the boycott, but it’s moot since I haven’t watched an NFL game since the early 90s, around 93, I think.

I’d also like to see the NFL adopt the policy of having the team winning the SuperBowl barbecue and eat the losing team right after the game.

And just to be fair about it, the losing team in the NBA finals deported to Nigeria.

Runner-up in the World series — off to Venezuela.

  5. Another thing to despise about the NFL these days: those gaudy Thursday Night Football Color Rush uniforms that are meant to appeal to Millennials and the LGBT crowd. They look like the Obamacare Pajama Boy.

  6. Total agreement for a boycott. I have discovered all kinds of things I do on Sunday afternoons now. I boycott the games and ESPN.

  7. This year will be the year of exception …..Of course I gave up the NFL welfare lizard sobfest. Send the NFL teams to Africa to take part in the “Zambezi River Swim For Your Lives” against the home team Crocodiles. Should cut payrolls considerably.
The Exception…….Usually I am at my Hunting Camp where I would journey to the Warren Pa Cemetery where in the WWOne section there is a statue of a Doughboy charging up the hill complete with Rifle/Bayonet .Quite impressive but very few people show up anymore there because so much time has passed ……I find it very humbling to stop there & pay my respects for their sacrifices.
It is quite fitting these forgotten men be honored & I am glad to do it.
This year my legs won`t let me attend ….I hope the boys understand, God bless them all. Take care , say a prayer & never forget.
