A sociopathic moron with contempt for Christianity got hold of a weapon he shouldn’t have had access to and basically wiped out an innocuous community.
So that’s all we hear about for a week, that and “GUNS ARE EVIL! WE MUST ABOLISH THEM IMMEDIATELY!!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR LEADERS!!!!!!”
I’m tellin ya, the worst thing we can do is splash this all over the news 24/7 with pics and interviews of people we’ve never even known existed until Sunday.
See, the thing is, just as you can’t fix stupid, you can’t fix crazy. He should never have had weapons, and he probably should’ve been locked up after his previous behavior. It’s called a “trend,” or “behavioral traits,” or “markers.” We usedta do it that way.
But, the Air Force blew a simple administrative routine and he never got on the NO FIREARM list.
Bottom line – government screws up, people suffer. Of course when the PEOPLE screw up, the government doesn’t suffer, but that’s another issue.
The rules are there . . . the forms, the reports, the procedures, the rules, the laws – but some clerk bungles the paperwork and a psycho slips through the cracks. We do NOT need more damned laws; we just need to enforce the ones we already have.
Yeah, yeah . . . I know – we’re basically naked apes with a thin veneer of civilization covering our bloodthirsty instincts like cobwebs on a hibernating bear. But broadcasting the gory details and human interest stories over and over and over does little more than excite and inspire the incipient wannabes.
Shoulda been more like
“A psychotic lunatic attacked churchgoers in a small town in Texas Sunday morning. A number of people were killed and a similar number wounded before armed citizens responded, wounding him and causing him to crash his escape vehicle then shoot himself in the head with his own weapon.”
Alli. Fini. Basta. Nobody in Milwaukee or Albany or Spokane or anyplace else farther away than San Antonio needs any details . . . just the people in the surrounding communities who may have had friends or family in Sutherland Springs.
You take a million naked apes and line ‘em up and at least one will be psychologically severely damaged. You put ‘em in close living conditions and sooner or later the wackos will do something obscene or brutal or deadly.
You get over 300 million and put ‘em in cramped, noisy, frustrating communities and the psychos will vent their resentment, their fear, their disgruntlement by whatever means available to them, sharp instruments, pickup trucks, nitrates, or bang sticks.
It happens. Find the bad guys and eliminate ‘em. Period. Don’t romanticize their psychopathy over and over and over and over on national television. Let those affected by the carnage mourn, but don’t feed the bloodlust of otherwise uninvolved people thousands of miles away.
The best way to handle killers, rapists, terrorists, arsonists, abusers, deadbeats, malcontents . . . those who don’t work and play well with others . . . is to apprehend them, alive, and let the survivors or families of the victims deal with ‘em.
Broadcasting people’s loss, grief, pain, suffering, just whets the appetites of other potential psychological predators. And as for banning weapons, tell me more about how well that 18th Amendment worked out.

Remember back in the 80’s when the libs emptied out all of the loony bins because it wasn’t right for crazy people to be locked up? I guess they were afraid that since liberalism is a mental disease they would be institutionalized as well. Slapsy Maxey Waters belongs in a home for the mentally bewildered. So does Cowboy Freddy Wilson. Ex-Speaker Blinky just belongs in assisted living to deal with her incipient Alzheimer’s. JHFC! She thinks Bush is still president. Keith Olberman thinks Trump should be calling for the death penalty for someone who is already dead. The Fake News Media obseses over stuff like how many scoops of ice cream Trump gets and how he feeds fish in Japan. All he was doing was copying Abe who dumped his rice in the Koi pond first. Today liberals gathered to scream at the sky to commemorate Trump’s election last year. These people are bat shit crazy.
