RIP Malcolm Young rhythm guitar player for the band AC/DC. His younger brother Angus Young always gets the spotlight since he’s the lead guitar player, but Malcolm was a solid player and backup singer. He’d been suffering for dementia for quite some time. Dead at 64.

We salute you Malcolm.

  1. Hey Denny;

    One of the Rock gods, very good group. Most people don’t realize that AC/DC did the soundtrack for “Maximum Overdrive” and we GI’s played the hell out of “Thunderstruck” while in the desert.

  2. If I taught a course on rock guitar I would start on the first day with AC/DC and go full circle and finish on the last day with AC/DC.

  3. Terrible news. I wish I could link videos of when Kocur used to hit the ice in Detroit, and they played Thunderstruck at the Joe. It meant someone was getting their ass kicked. Was bad ass and I’m happy to be friends with Joey to this day. Best days of my life.
