So Trump calls out a few countries for being shitholes and the market hits another record high. I hope next week he rethinks his assessment and calls these places FUCKING SHITHOLES.
I’m giving it to Oprah. What a fucking hypocrite! She gave some sanctimonious speech at the Golden Globes about sexual harassment. Holy shit! She’s best friends with Harvey Weinstein. She even pimped for him. She was a Crooked Cankles supporter who was the enabler of her hubby BJ who was a major league sexual harasser and rapist. She falsely accused a worker at a store in Switzerland of racism. She introduced us to Barry Soetero. She has a multitude of other sins that are too lengthy to list here. The people she was speaking to are in the biggest cesspool of sexual harassment and deviancy. She’s a member of that group.
I’m a little worried about DACA. Don Surber isn’t. but I am for a two reasons.
Number one. You’re hanging out with Little Lindsey Grahamnesty. He’s a RINO. He’s for amnesty. He’s John McRINO’s mini-me. He can’t be trusted.
Number two. You are dealing with Dimocrats. Dimocrats always lie and Dimocrats do not keep promises. How many Republican presidents have been rolled by Dimocrats?
Reagan was on tax increases and amnesty. He made a deal to raise taxes if Dimocrats would cut spending. He raised taxes but the Dimocrats didn’t cut spending. The same thing happened to Bush 41 and it cost him the election.
Reagan also granted amnesty in return for promises of increased border security. Didn’t happen. Dimocrats did not keep their promises. They never do.
Any DACA deal must include the wall and I don’t mean DACA first and the wall second. If you make that deal the Dimocrats will not give in on the wall. The wall has to come first. You hold all of the cards. Don’t let the Dimocrats roll you.
Decisions. Decisions. Ron sends me so much good stuff I always have trouble deciding what to post. I guess I could just post all of his stuff for a while and take a month off. Hmmmm. Not a bad idea. Anyhoo, here he is on Oprah and TDS.
Ron on.
This whole Trump Derangement Syndrome thing is getting tedious. No, it’s becoming hysterical. What the never-trumpers want now is to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove DJT from power because of things he said decades ago and a few stunners he came up with while campaigning for the office . . . in other words, because his unconventional not-quite-political opinions don’t correspond with their liberal agenda.
Well, that’s not the point of the 25th. The thing was written to provide clear path of continuity and transfer of power in the event PotUS gets shot or run over by a truck or has a massive stroke, a la Wilson. The only part of the Amendment even remotely applicable to taking down a functioning PotUS is Section IV, which reads as follows:
Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
Yeah, like that’s gonna happen – Pence? . . . reading on deeper into the language is this inconvenient little part: Congress must determine by two-thirds vote of BOTH Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office or the Veep has to get out of the chair and give power back to the PotUS, unless he’s physically incapacitated, like in a coma, or wearing a canvas jacket with wraparound sleeves.
So a buncha armchair shrinks collude by remote, much like the “scientists” did over global warming, that DJT is non-compos mentis or psychologically imbalanced or demented because of increasing age or paranoia or schizophrenia or too much Diet Coke or whatever and they consider that a lawful and adequate justification for a coup d’etat.
I’m not exactly sure what it would get ‘em, tho, ‘cause Pence would take the reins in ANY case, unless they whisked him away to Elba or someplace after the Dems took over the House in the mid-terms and put the Speaker’s gavel back in SFranNan’s claw.
Jeeeez, if the left-leaning denizens of D.C. and the liberal-biased media want to analyze psychological unfitness for office, perhaps they should start with the obvious – Nancy Pelosi, who is unmistakably in the throes of dementia.
Then of course there’s Maxine Waters, a classic case of long-term lunacy. And we mustn’t forget Hillary Rodham, the congenital liar and habitual rationalizer who believes she was chosen by Zeus to be 45. Elijah Cummings is, of course, a textbook example of racist blindness. And Chuck Schumer has the archetypal selective memory, unable to recall anything he said prior to November 2016.
And now they’re grooming a TV-show host as their fallback position for the genelec in case impeachment or invoking the 25th doesn’t pan out.
Oprah.
HFS! In 2016 they screamed that Trump is no more than a TV reality-show host, unfit to be president. Now they’re saying let’s make Oprah president. Good grief!
Does ANYbody know how she stands on the issues? I mean, who the hell authenticated her deification? Who presided over her apotheosis ceremony? Who performed the sacraments for the ritual elevating her to sainthood?
Hey, it takes some chutzpah to absolve Hollywood for its century-long habits of trading sex for plum roles and admonish a shrinking audience of 18 million on TV for thinking naughty thoughts about filmdom’s aristocracy behind closed doors.
Just on the surface I’m against her simply because both Bill Kristol and Meryl Streep are FOR her. Hell, she’s basically a left-wing talking-point parrot, and she was a great admirer of Harvey Weinstein. Yeah, yeah . . . she didn’t know. Right!! The term “liberal entertainer” is the classic syntactical redundancy, and “hypocrite” is le mot jus.
She was also a staunch supporter of Hillary, no doubt because of gender loyalty and other women’s-lib red herrings. She of course supported Obama out of nothing more than ethnic loyalty; in fact, she’s the one who introduced him to an unsuspecting America, a deed for which she should be horsewhipped, and often.
She has said repeatedly that Islam is all about peace, tolerance, women’s rights, diversity . . . and disagrees with using military power to eradicate terrorism. She thinks vaccines are partly responsible for the increase in autism, and she’s a dedicated advocate of LGBT rights.
She wants increased scrutiny on private gun purchases and thinks we “owe” citizenship to illegal immigrants . . . just because they went to the effort to get themselves here, I guess. She also wants a “conversation” about race, which as we all know means “I’ll talk to you about it and you sit there and listen.”
She preached absolution to the self-congratulatory cult of insulated millionaire celebs, deciding FOR us who should manage our money, our education, our culture, our security.
And those limousine libs are going with a black female because they think “it’s time” and would be oh, just SO cool. Charisma trumping qualifications. She may be a self-made billionaire, but she’s a presumptuous, double-standard, left-leaning one with even fewer quals than the Magic Negro she foisted upon us 10 years ago.
Oprah has made some heavy-duty faux pas in her life. She basically created the Dr. Phil monster, and refused to have Sarah Palin on her show during the 2008 election runup. Her arbitrary and unilateral attack on cattle ranchers was a classic, saying that she’d never eat another burger because of mad-cow disease.
One of her worst came while promoting her movie The Butler and telling a British audience that Obama is disrespected in America simply because he’s black. Here’s the quote about racism in America and how blacks are terrorized by it:
I say this, you know, I said this, you know, for apartheid South Africa, I said this for my own, you know, community in the south – there are still generations of people, older people, who were born and bred and marinated in it, in that prejudice and racism, and they just have to die.
No, a Winfrey administration would be just a third Obama term, except with perhaps a tad more decorum, moxie, and testosterone. The military would suffer dangerous cuts, the debt would continue to rise on a parabolic curve, and investment capital would do a smart about-face and return to where it sat during the Soetoro error.
The only good thing that might result is that the voters might finally get their “thirst for firsts” out of their systems and return to a more conventional-style set of candidates in future, perhaps even with term limits for congresskritters.
Ron off.
Just what we need. Another black racist. On the other hand during the State of The Union Address some lucky Congresscritter could reach under his/her seat and find out that he/she has just won a new car.
Didja see the championship game last night? I didn’t watch the whole thing because it was past my bedtime and I knew Georgia would lose. We in Atlanta are cursed, and yes, I consider UGA to be an Atlanta team. This game was just like the Falcons in the Super Bowl last year. In the first half they were the better team but the evil genius Saban put his own freshman quarterback in and the momentum shifted. Saban is now 12-0 against his former assistants.
It was a hell of a season for the Dawgs and they made the right choice by firing Richt and bringing in Kirby Smart. He got the Dawgs to the championship game his second year. Richt was Richt at Miami. His team was doing well and then folded down the stretch by losing its last three games. Richt was a good coach at Georgia but he couldn’t win the big games. I expect the same thing to happen at Miami. Smart won two big games his second year: the SEC Championship and the Rose Bowl. Two out of three ain’t bad.
Smart is a good recruiter and hopefully he can stockpile talent like Saban has at Alabama. I would have liked to have seen the players who stuck around for their senior year rather than opting for the NFL, notably Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, to have won a championship but it wasn’t to be. Alabama has the talent and has the coach.
