looks like the songs from the woods tour that I saw in new haven ct. yes this was there best line up, kick ass concert. also went to a few other of there concerts and they always played great. one of my favorites along with rush.
They played at the Selby Stadium at Wesleyan University in Delaware, OH in the summer of ’70. Small venue and a great concert.
Anderson’s stage presence is kind of like Joe Cocker meets Charles Manson, isn’t it? I saw him live with his “Jazz Band” a few years ago. Very entertaining, but mostly new, original stuff. They did do Bouree, which was great.
As for whether Jethro Tull is heavy metal or something else, well, I seem to recall a big controversy when Led Zeppelin was passed up in that category at some Grammy awards or something.
Tull won a Grammy in 1988 for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance or Vocal beating out Metallica. None of the group attended since their manager said they had no chance of winning.
