Drank more wine.
Last year one of my readers who lives in or near Ruckersville took us to task over one of the restaurants we ate at. He suggested we eat at The Lafayette Inn. That’s where we ate tonight. I had the Lafayette Salad and the Filet Mignon. Delicious. They had a lot of local wines on the wine list but none of them were by the glass. Since I had steak and my BIL had crab cakes, we couldn’t split a bottle of wine.
Tomorrow it’s back to Columbia SC.
Hey, since you know your wines, Denny, would it be appropriate for my wife and I to split a bottle when I have a bologna sandwich and my wife has a P&J, or should I stick with my Ripple and she with her Annie Green Springs?
Ah, Columbia SC, the home of wonderful Ft. Jackson and the site of my many lovely memories of AIT. Left Ft Lewis and Basic with orders for the sunny South. Got there and there was snow on the ground.
Boy, my grammar’s atrocious. Should’ve said “my wife and me” in previous post.
No, but you could have had a bottle each…
