Dilbert was on point yesterday.

Boy does this bring back memories of my time at IBM. I remember John Akers running the country into the ground. Meanwhile, he had us taking this two day course called Transformation Leadership. It was a course designed by idiots and taught by idiots. We had group exercises that I was unable to do since I was a cripple. They were supposed to drive home at how we were supposed to react to changing markets. Meanwhile IBM’s senior management had managed to not react to the changing market of the 90’s.

Anyhoo, at the end of this wasted two days I talked to the instructors facilitators. I was an instructor at the time and I pointed out the fallacy of the class. It was supposed to teach flexibility but was inflexible. It was supposed to teach how to react to changes but was unable to do so. Since the exercises were all physical I asked what they would have done if they had walked into the classroom and everyone had been in wheelchairs. Game over. Class dismissed. They both gave me a deer in the headlights look and stammered out that they didn’t know. “That”, I told them, “was why the class sucked and was a total waste of time.”

Everyone at IBM had to take this class. What’s more, the managers had to take a three day version. One of the few times I felt sorry for IBM managers.

Later on, there was a follow on class called The Journey Continues. (Fortunately, I managed to skip out of going to this class.) It continued alright. IBM continued down the tubes. Shortly thereafter, IBM hired Lou Gerstner and he turned the company around. But, just like Trump, Gerstner was just a bump in the road. IBM continues to decline.

Fortunately, it does value Diversity (All Hail Diversity!)

Kris Kobach says President Trump can stop mass illegal immigration and asylum fraud, as well as boost the American economy, by unilaterally ending all remittances to Mexico.

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News Tonight, Kobach said Trump should replace his prolonged threat to Mexico — where he said he will wait a year before he puts pressure on the country — with an executive regulation that threatens to end all remittances by illegal aliens in the U.S. back to Mexico.

The threat to end remittances, Kobach detailed, can be used to force Mexico into an agreement with the U.S. that bans Central American nationals from passing through Mexico to get to the U.S. to claim asylum despite Mexico having a robust asylum system. The policy, Kobach said, would ensure that Central Americans claim asylum in the first eligible country they travel to.

Mexico receives more money from remittances than it does from oil revenue. Kobach sez:

“The threat I propose is one that actually helps us if we follow through on it. That is the threat of ending remittances from the majority of people in the United States from Mexico who are here illegally. That is a threat that we could carry through on that actually helps our economy because the money is not sent home, it stays in circulation in the U.S. economy and helps rev up our economy. It’s actually a good thing if we follow through.”

I don’t know if we could stop the remittances or not, but I do know that we could tax them. I’ve been advocating for this for a long time. Tax any Western Union wire transfer from the United States to Mexico. Make it 20%. The money raised could pay for the wall. That would make Mexico pay for it. Of course, there would be attempts at circumvention and currency smuggling at the border, therefore, any amount of currency above a set amount discovered by customs crossing into Mexico would be confiscated.

It’s high time we quit supporting Mexico by allowing illegals to send vast amounts of money home.

I was gonna give it to Ilhan Omar (D, Somalia) for spouting off on how oppressed she feels in this country. Let’s see, she grew up in a shithole country (Somalia) spent time in a refugee camp in another shithole country (Kenya) and she’s bitching about a country where she is serving in Congress? Ship her ass back to Somalia where she belongs.

Bus she was beat out by this deranged bitch.

A south Palo Alto activist has been fired from her accounting job at Gryphon Stringed Instruments after chasing a man wearing a Make America Great Again cap out of Starbucks and then posting about the confrontation on Facebook.

Rebecca Parker Mankey, 46, was fired on Tuesday (April 2), the day after she yelled at a man with a bushy gray beard named Victor who regularly visits the Starbucks at 361 California Ave. in Palo Alto wearing a red MAGA hat. Mankey didn’t return the Post’s requests for comment.

“Anybody in Palo Alto know this freak?” Mankey asked in a widely shared Facebook post that included two photos of the man at Starbucks. “He will never forget me and will think seriously about wearing that hat in my town ever again. If you see him in this hat, please confront him.”

Mankey went on to write that she yelled at him, “called the entire Starbucks to order” and yelled at him again about hating Latinos.

“He threatened to call the cops. I left after yelling at him some more,” Mankey wrote. “I went back in and yelled after I had changed my mind and wanted him to call the police because I wanted to know his name, where he lived, his wife’s name and where his kids went to school.”

What a wonderful human being. Check out her picture at the link. Someone is married to her. Can you imagine what a pussy her husband must be. I’m glad that her employer fired her ass. She can take solace in her award.

Time for my annual VA Physical. I drove up yesterday and my sister and bil drove down from Columbia SC and we went out to dinner. We went to Frog Hollow Tavern. We do this every year. My sister found them on Open Table a few years back and we have been going there every year since. This year we all had the same thing:The Grilled Angus Filet of Ribeye. It came with french fries and I mean a lot of french fries. My bil is on a low carb diet so he got collard greens instead of fries. Alas, I can’t drink alcohol the night before my physical so I had to skip the wine. Bah! Normlly we try to go the night of my physical but my sister already had sumpin’ scheduled for tonight.

I whizzed through everything today and even had my final review so if I wasn’t registered another night at the hotel I could have driven home. Of curse, if I had, I would have gotten stuck in rush hour traffic. Better I spend the night and have a nice leisurely drive back tomorrow.

I ate at a nice neighborhood Italian restaurant, Luigi’s within rolling distance of my hotel. It even had checkered tablecloths.

Biden is 76 and would be almost exactly the same age I am right now (78+) on Inauguration Day if elected in 2020.

Now, I’ve had huge responsibilities, some pretty heavy authority, and life-changing experience in dangerous and national-security situations. Had to make some weighty decisions without complete knowledge and live with the consequences.

In my 40s, 50s, and 60s, I was prepped and fully qualified to make those decisions, and most of ‘em turned out quite well.

Today, however, I am slower to make up my mind on serious issues. Hell, I sometimes have a hard time deciding whether to wash the car or not. I wouldn’t want today’s me to make the decisions I had to make back 30 or 40 years ago.

And I don’t want any 78-yr-old sitting behind that Resolute Desk. And that includes Bernie, too. I’m not exactly comfortable with a DJT in his mid-to-late 70s there, either.

Biden looks to me like a touchy-feely friendly sorta guy who doesn’t really mean any harm but long ago passed his “use by” date. He strikes me as an impulse shopper in a market with too much cash and too many choices.

He’s probably harmless on the creepy or pedophile or fondler or date-rape spectrum, but I don’t think he can be trusted with the DeWars and the tricked-out classic ’65 Mustang.

On any given day, you ask me to name my favorite song or favorite book or favorite movie and I can guarantee you it’ll change . . . quickly and frequently. Today that song might be “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” and tomorrow become “Eine Kleine Nachtmusik.”

Same for books – one day it’s Idylls of the King and the next it’s Catch-22. My all-time favorite movie remains The Godfather, but the runner-up might change daily from It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World to TORA! TORA! TORA! to Blazing Saddles to Broadcast News depending on what I had for breakfast and whether or not it’s raining.

Joe says what he thinks his audience wants to hear. He wants desperately to be relevant and sound informed and sagacious, but in truth he’s just an average guy wandering through life wanting people to like him . . . a hairless bipedal puppy with a wet nose and a leaky bladder.

I’m at the far opposite extreme from him on the physical scale—don’t like hugging, and other people’s children tend to annoy me more often than delight me. Point is, tho, that I have no business making big decisions affecting other people’s lives any more . . . and neither does he.

There’s a lot of truth there.

I often wonder what would have happened if MLK hadn’t been shot. Would he have abandoned his content of character not color of skin shtick and become just another race hustler like Jesse Hymietown Jackson or Al Tawana Brawley Crown Heights Riots Freddie’s Fashion Mart Arson Sharpton? One of his lieutenants was civil rights icon racist pig John Lewis. We’ve seen how he’s turned out. He falsely claimed that he was called a nigger when he and the Congressional African Congress crashed a Tea Party demonstration. And just look what the Obamessiah and Eric Holder did for race relations. Set them back fifty years.

Black pride is OK. Latino pride is OK. Anti-Semitism is being mainstreamed. Moslems can insult everyone. But white pride is raaaaa-cist. Is it any wonder white people are getting pissed off?

There is no race of people who have done so much for humanity than white people but they’re supposed to feel guilty. There are many white people who have started to hate their own race. We call these people liberals.

White people have cured diseases. White people invented the radio and television. White people invented airplanes. White people invented computers. White people put a man on the moon. White people abolished slavery. Where does slavery still exist? In the lands of brown and black people but somehow white people are responsible for slavery. WTF?

And guess where the black and brown people want to migrate to? Countries run by white people. If we’re so evil why do they want to live among us?

Heinlein was right.

Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. This is known as “bad luck.”

Unfortunately, part of this “small minority” is suicidal. They’re on the side that hates the creators of the greatest civilization the world has ever known. We call these people Dimocrats.

I’m glad I’ll be dead before the “bad luck” happens.
