During college, I worked at a music store, and I once got to see and briefly play a Neupert harpsichord. Instead of piano hammers, it has picks that pluck the strings when keys are pressed. It doesn’t get louder if you strike the keys harder. That is the advantage of the piano, original name “pianoforte”, Italian for “soft-loud”.

I heard it played often by some pianists at my music school. And it was too slow.
I’ve noticed that the keyboard versions of these sonatas are usually played at a faster tempo than the guitar versions.
