Very enjoyable. And historically right!
Pianist Alice Ader also plays it brilliantly but a bit faster. You’re right, Denny, that most pianists play Scarlatti faster than it’s done on the harpsichord. I guess it’s ok as long as they don’t mangle the notes. The students, at my music school, played Scarlatti slower because the teacher (a nun) wanted to hear every note clearly. And one needs very special fingers to play Scarlatti at the right tempo.
So glad you’re presenting him. I’m having a great time, every weekend, discovering each sonata. And listening to different musicians’ interpretation of the same sonata.
