In football all I want to see the African athletes say is, “Qui nos morituri te salutant vos” like the gladiators said in ancient Rome. After all, football is our version of the gladiatorial games except they don’t fight to the death. I guess we could update it to “Ut si quis se asinum calce abjecistis te salutant.” (We who about to kick each other’s ass salute you.)
Anyway, I won’t be watching the NFL because it will be BLM all the time. Fuck ’em!
Baseball is dead as well. The strike back in the 90’s when they had to cancel the World Series turned me off. Since then, I haven’t really cared for the game and now this season they’re giving me another reason to hate it. Didja see the manager of the San Fagcisco Giants, Gabe Kaplan, and other members of the team kneeling during the National Anthem? Fuck ’em!
I never watched Noosecar so the kerfuffle with the halfrican Bubba Wallace gave me yet another reason not to watch it. Fuck ’em!
I quit watching the NBA when the Hawks moved from St. Louis to Atlanta. Since then the game has gotten worse and is nothing but thugball. With BLM it’s gonna suck even more. Fuck ’em!

I walked away from the NBA years ago, upon the reinstatement of Latrine Sprewell. As for the NFL, when attendance drops below game sellouts in sufficient advance, that should trigger local game blackouts, dropping TV revenue as well as attendance. I will be laughing my head off. I’m with you.. I gave up on the NFL, and goodbye Nationals and baseball. I can’t really blame some of the individual players – they are after all first in line to be cancelled if the balk at what their leadership does.. and since at the professional level the salaries are so astronomically high, that’s a hard thing to do. No, the problem is the leadership.. owners / coaches / the back office. Given that they have to be bleeding money from the COVID effects, it’s hard to believe that they are purposefully alienating a large portion of their fan base.

Perhaps they have run the numbers and believe that by this subservience to the wokesters and perpetually oppressed will somehow garner them enough proceeds through their TV audience to make it worth to them. No interest in any sports for a long time. Women’s Beach Volleyball was okay for a while. Beyond that I watch MMA every now and then and that is it. Fast paced sport that does not put me to sleep. I was happy to see the Chicago Cubs win the World Series in 2016. It felt good for the city at the time. But I am done with sports as a whole. My father going to college in the 50’s would take the train to Detroit Tigers Stadium and watch the Tigers play. He would have a lunch and couple of beers cheap while watch some of the greats play baseball. He and a friend once talked about all of this and they saw some of the greats back then. He always loved baseball and golf. He and mom would golf every chance they could. Never liked the sport at all. I to, am pretty much done with the whole sports scene.
Sadly, I am still a season ticket holder for Seahawks games. Have had them for over 30 years. It’s been a few years since we’ve been to a game.
These days, I just sell them to Google, Amazon, Starbuck’s, or some other highly paid tech geeks for double to triple face value.
All of this hate on sports crap is making me nervous. This has been a nice enhancement to my retirement. We’ll just have to see how it goes this season.
