Yep. I live in a city that hasn’t had a Republican on the city council in probably two decades. Republicans and Independents have given up and don’t bother to run. Dems sometimes run against dems and the one who’s farthest left always wins.
This election reminded me a bit of 1930’s Germany when a doddering old fool Von Hindenburg finally resigned and Hitler took over the Chancellorship and we all knew what happened after that event. Germany had a parliamentary democracy, with a Reichstag and Chancellor (their equivalent of Prime Minister). Paul von Hindenburg was President, but didn’t do much under the parliamentary form of gummint. Hitler became Chancellor when his party won the most votes in Jan. 1933. Hitler took gradual steps until von H. died in 1934, then he really took over.

As for Georgia, it’s time to put the blame on Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. He’s the one who spent the late spring and summer pushing, pushing, and pushing mail-in ballots. He joined the Wuhan fear brigade and convinced people it was unsafe to go to the polls. Then he seems to have done nothing to help the counties deal with all the mailed ballots. Now we see the results with those ballots especially in Fulton and Chatham counties.
