For the edification of my sister, this is a pun from a line from Roxanne a song by the Police. Sting was their lead singer and bass player. For the record, I hated the Police and most of their songs.
In my opinion, Roxanne is the absolute WORST song in the history of music. Whenever it comes on the radio, I immediately change the station. A wailing, freshly neutered drunken cat caught in a hailstorm on a storm-tossed sea would sound better.
Lots worse tunes than this one. built this city, life is a highway, girls girls girls, any rap, all modern country music, 80’s and 90’s rock, all pop music…..
I dunno why, but ANYTHING by the Steve Miller band has always set my teeth on edge.
