I was raised in Webster Groves, a suburb of St. Louis Missouri. Webster Groves had a very good school system. It was one of the best in Missouri. When we entered high school it was assumed we would go to college so the education we received was predicated on that. Our final exams were two hours long and we used the little blue exam books hey used in college. Writing was emphasized.
The high school was integrated and I cannot recall any instances of racial discord. We even elected a black dude as Homecoming King one year.
So, much to my surprise, fifty seven years after I graduated, I find out that my high school is now racist. Thanks to my sister for sending me this.
The advocacy organization Parents Defending Education recently filed a federal civil rights complaint against the Webster Groves K-12 school district in Missouri for racial discrimination, according to the complaint obtained by The College Fix.
And why is that?
In June 2020, district Superintendent John Simpson posted to the school’s blog site claiming that the school district contributed to inequitable systems which disadvantaged its black students. It was part of a blog post lamenting the death of George Floyd.
“I’m not saying that all police officers are bad or all educators are bad, but they (we) operate within systems that, by their outcomes, clearly privilege one race over another. It’s undeniable,” Simpson wrote.
“As your superintendent and as a white man, I must hold myself and our school system to a greater level of accountability in how we see and support our Black children, staff and parents and how our work is leading to the dismantling of the inequitable systems and structures within our district.”
JHFC! Kiss my crippled ass! This wasn’t true fifty seven years ago. What has changed? Oh yeah, superintendents like this dude. Time to get rid of this virtue signaling asshole. His irresponsible virtue signaling is gonna cost his school system federal dollars. Way to go asshole!
Yannow what else has changed? The concept of treating people equally regardless of skin color. Ya remember sumpin’ about judging people by the content of their character and not the color of their skin? Who said that? Some black dude back in ancient times.
How passé. Now it’s skin color. If it’s black it’s good and if it’s white it’s bad. I wonder if they are teaching Critical Race Theory in the Webster Groves school system?
Black criminals are canonized and worshipped. We have St. Trayvon of Skittles, St. Michael of Swisher Sweets, St. Freddy of Heroin (who has a recreation center in Baltimore named after him), and St. George of Fentanyl. You would think that George Floyd led an exemplary life instead of being the career criminal that he was. The world is a better place without him.
I wonder when they will start naming schools after him?
So Webster Groves schools are racist. Hey KHS67 do ya think Kirkwood is racist as well?
