Germany’s Upset

For some reason Germany is upset.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel and members of her government condemned the Biden administration’s catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan in harsh terms.

The debacle in Afghanistan was “an extremely bitter development. Bitter, dramatic and terrifying,” Chancellor Merkel said while speaking to reporters on Tuesday.

In her sharpest attack on Biden’s decision yet, the German chancellor suggested that the Biden administration’s hasty and messy withdrawal was motivated by “domestic political reasons” rather than geostrategic necessities.

What’s the problem? That mean old Trump is gone. You wanted * as president and you got what you wanted. You should have known that he was a doddering old booger eatin’ moh-ron. Now you’re stuck with him. If you’re smart (BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA) you’ll start beefing up your military because Uncle Sam can no longer be counted upon. The South Koreans realize this.

SEOUL, Aug. 18 (UPI) — The chaotic withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan underscores the urgency for South Korea to gain full operational control of its military, the head of the country’s ruling Democratic Party said Wednesday.

“The Afghanistan crisis should be used as an opportunity to further nurture the will and ability of a strong independent defense by recovering wartime OPCON,” Rep. Song Young-gil wrote in a Wednesday Facebook post.

The South Koreans realize that the US military is commanded by a bunch of incompetent generals and admirals. So does China.

We’re doomed!

But at least there are no more mean tweets from Trump.
